A successful lawyer falls in love with a prostitute and leaves his family for her. He spends all his money on her, and when he becomes a drunk gambler, she leaves him for another man. Furious, he throws acid at her face and mutilates her, and is imprisoned as a result. When he gets out, he repeats the cycle then considers returning to his family.
