Umm Hassanein sends Mualla to kill Qinawi to retaliate against El Shawadfi due to previous disputes between them, without being aware that Hassanein has gone to the wedding. Hassanein grows fond of Ghawayesh when they meet.

Ghawayesh rescues Hassanein while the men of El Shawadfi are chasing him, as they think that he is the one who killed Qinawi. Mualla hides from Hassanein that he is the real killer, and they devise a plan to hide Hassanein after El Shawadfi vows to take revenge on him.

As Hasna advises Ghawayesh to declare her rejection of El Prince's feelings for her, the friendship between them deepens. Mualla is upset by Ghawayesh's family's presence in his house. Mujawar tells El Shawadfi that Hassanein is in his house.

Ghawayesh discovers Mualla's insult to her family, and she retaliates. Haridy vows revenge and expels them from the village. Hassanein stands up to his family to protect Ghawayesh's family from the tyranny of Mualla's men.

Hassanein escapes from his home to Cairo and goes to his apartment, discovering that his friend Bahjat lives there. Mujawar tells El Shawadfi that Hassanein has traveled. Ghawayesh, her father, and El Prince travel to Cairo.

Hassanein stays in a hotel and searches for a job while his sorrows haunt him from his father's bias towards Mualla. El Prince pressures Ghawayesh into marrying him. Ghawayesh's family relocates after they move from the house of Almaz and her husband.

El Shawadfi gets Hassanein's address from Mujawar, and tricks Bahjat into finding Hassanein. Almaz and Hassanein cross paths by chance.

El Prince's control over Ghawayesh increases. Hassanein and Ghawayesh meet by chance, but she hides the matter from her father, as she is torn between marrying El Prince or Hassanein, so she holds on to the latter.

Hassanein and Ghawayesh tie the knot with the approval of Afifi, who doesn't know that Hassanein escaped his house. Bahjat discovers that El Shawadfi lied to him, so he warns Hassanein of El Shawadfi's search for him. Hassanein and Ghawayesh's marriage is revealed in front of his family.

After her marriage to Hassanein, Ghawayesh grumbles about his insistence on escaping and refusing to return to Upper Egypt. Mualla asks Hassanein to return on behalf of Haridy. Ghawayesh's father passes away.

Awali orders Umm Bakhati to get rid of Ghawayesh. Mualla agrees with Mujawar to wed him to Hasna despite her refusal. Awali mistreats Ghawayesh.

Mualla scolds Hasna for refusing to marry Mujawar. El Shawadfi shoots Hassanein, but fails to kill him. After Ghawayesh agrees with Awali to bury the hatchet, she disappears from the house.

Ghawayesh and Hassanein discover that Mualla killed Qinawi. Ghawayesh flees from home to Cairo after Hassanein scolded her for visiting El Shawadfi, only to discover the death of her father.

Hassanein reveals Mujawar's deception and regrets the loss of Ghawayesh. Mualla and Mujawar are killed in a fire during their quarrel as the latter confesses to the truth. Ghawayesh gives birth to Hassanein's son and returns to her husband.
