US military officer Roy Miller goes rogue to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq after discovering false intelligence confirming the absence of nuclear weapons in the region and how the United States was thrown into this long war.

Following the American invasion of Iraq that occurred in 2003 Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller and his men are charged with the task of finding the so-called weapons of mass destruction. The supposed existence of these weapon caches has justified American involvement in the conflict according to the Pentagon and their man in Baghdad, Poundsgate. Veteran CIA operative Marty tells Miller that there are in fact no such weapon stores and that the entire issue was a fabrication intended to justify the American invasion and the installation of a puppet regime. Wall Street Journal reporter Lawrie Dayne is also suspicious of Poundsgate and informs Miller that Poundsgate had told her that he had held secret talks in Jordan with an important Iraqi contact code-named "Magellan". During that meeting Magellan had supplied him with information about WMD weapon stores but it now seems that this information was unreliable. Thus begins the search for the truth. It makes one wonder, who is deceiving who?
