Saqr looks for a job, and when he finds a vacancy in the newspaper, he begins daydreaming with his wife, Hamama, to go from rags to riches.

Saqr loses his letter of acceptance to the job but then finds it in the trash. He goes to work the first day but the manager asks him to return the next day. Upon returning home, he finds his mother-in-law blaming him for their poverty.

Saqr begins working at the archives. His mother-in-law asks him to get her brother a job with him at the same place.

As Saqr's kitchen is burned down, he asks the company to help him replace the furniture that was destroyed in the fire.

The manager of the company asks Saqr to create an advertising campaign for the company, and when he does that he is promoted to marketing manager. Adel, Saqr's brother-in-law, suggests that he works with him in the advertisements and singing the jingles.

Saqr takes a look at the investigation report of the fire in the company warehouse, and refuses to sign to what the employee wrote.

Adel complains to Hamama that her husband has not helped him get a job. Meanwhile, Adel tells the company manager that what Ali wrote in the report of the warehouse fire is not in the company's best interest.

The manager puts Saqr back into his old job at the archives, and gives all the other employees raises, while cutting Saqr's salary. As Hamama asks him to travel to her mother, he refuses and tells her he was fired.

Saqr agrees to let Hamama go to her mother with her brother Adel. He later meets his landlord, Abu Musameh, who complains from the repairs he is doing.

Saqr accepts his new job at a nutrition company. He asks Ali to write him a recommendation letter from his first company, so Saad suggests to the manager taking advantage of Saqr in their new deal.

Saqr refuses to sign the receipts of the furniture without inspecting it first. He suggests a new company name to his new manager and the addition of a few products so that there are no losses.

Ali and the manager have an accident and are hospitalized. Saqr asks them to hand over the deal or they will have to pay a penalty. Hamama returns to Saqr with their son.
