Abu Rashid tells both Abu Saad and Abu Yassin that they have been chosen to be among the passengers of the first plane flying over Bahrain, and they ask that their third friend, Abdul Samad, to join them, but he refuses at first for fear of flying.

Abu Saad tells both Abu Yassin and Abdul Samad that he has seen something walking on four feet, and believed that he was dreaming until they see the car and think it is eating till they get to know this invention.

Abu Rashid returns from Bombay, and brings Abu Ghanem a radio as a gift, only for everyone to be afraid of it when they listen to it.

Abu Saad informs both his wife and Umm Hilal of the outbreak of the World War. While everyone begins to hoard money and food for fear of war, Umm Hilal decides to bury herself in a pit for fear of it.

As Abu Abdullah asks Umm Hilal to mediate for him with Abu Ghanem to build another house on his land, Abu Ghanem agrees to his request.

Umm Hilal tells Youssef Sharara about the bank and what the employees do there as they collect money and keep it inside the bank's vault for its owners.

Youssef Sharara and Umm Hilal succeed in convincing all the families to put their money in the bank, and give them receipts guaranteeing their rights, only to be surprised at the bank robbery.

Umm Hilal asks Abu Yassin to mediate with the shipmaster to agree that Umm Jassem's children work with him at the sea.

As Abu Yassin tells Abu Saad that his daughter should enter the school to be educated, Umm Hilal tries to convince the women of the village to educate their daughters, but everyone sees that girls shall not be educated.

As the families at the village are afraid of electricity and supplying it to homes, Abdul Samad thinks that it is a bad person, but he is surprised when it lights up the house and the streets.

Umm Hilal tells Umm Hani about the foreigners who came to the town, who look strange and are fair-skinned.

Youssef Sharara demands from Abu Abdullah to pay the money he borrowed from him. But when Abu Abdullah has troubles in paying the money, Youssef asks for his daughter Mona's hand, so Abu Abdullah rebukes him.

As Umm Ghanem insists that her son marry, his father gets him engaged to Souhaila, Abu Jassem's daughter, after which he marries her and a big wedding is held for them.

Abu Ghanem's son is looking forward to going to the cinema, but Umm Hilal advises the women of tribe that cinema is forbidden; as a result, everyone resents the demand of Abu Ghanem's son.

As Umm Hilal tells Umm Ghanem about her desire to marry, Abu Saad and Abu Yassin suggest on Abdul Samad to marry Umm Hilal.

Abdul Samad agrees to marry Umm Hilal, who is shocked from happiness and loses consciousness.
