During one of the civil war truces in the 80s, Abu Khalil returns to Beirut and decides to stay in a hotel in West Beirut. He meets his old friends at the house of the only remaining member of his family, his sister Hanna. He meets his friend Ghassan, who gave him his lost identity papers ten years ago. Will he wish to regain his name and entire life and erase the "X" from his records?
