The series depicts a deep-rooted problem in the Arab region, which is sorcery and charlatanism, through the story of the sorcerer Abu Ma'arouf. It provides insight into the psychology of people who resort to such methods and blindly follow whatever the charlatan says, unaware of their real aims.
