His job has him travelling most of the time and he has found a comfortable niche for himself in the world of impersonal hotel rooms and single-serving cream packets. However Natalie Keener (Anna Kendrick), a rapidly-rising young co-worker at Ryan’s head office, threatens to throw his world off balance by proposing that firing should be done through the internet. Her proposal would mean that Ryan would no longer have to travel so much, thus saving the firm a lot of money that would otherwise be spent on travelling expenses. Ryan rejects this proposal and his boss suggests that he take Natalie with him on his next trip. After the ice is broken, the two eventually open up to each other. Perhaps Natalie and Ryan will end up learning more from each other than either of them would have thought possible.
