The divorced lonely man Harvey Shine travels to London for his daughter's wedding, where he comes across the equally miserable Kate Walker and they develop a romantic connection.

This picture is an American romantic drama that was written and directed by Joel Hopkins. Harvey Shine (Dustin Hoffman) is a divorced father who composes jingles for television commercials. He leaves for London to attend his daughter’s wedding. However, upon arriving at London he gradually realizes that arrangements for the wedding did not take him into account and that rather than getting the chance to give his daughter away at the wedding, that honor will be assumed by his daughter’s stepfather. Things get much worse when Harvey is fired from his job for failing to make it to the airport in time to catch his return flight. Depressed and despondent, Harvey heads to an airport bar where he sees Kate, whom he had had a brief encounter with when he first arrived at London. Harvey apologizes for his rude behavior when they first met and the two get talking. Over the next few days Harvey and Kate open up to each other and see in themselves a second chance to make things right.
