The chipmunk trio Alvin, Simon, and Theodore take part in the school's singing competition, where they face another trio of female chipmunks called The Chipettes.

This picture is an American live action/CGI comedy. It is the sequel to Alvin and the Chipmunks. Dave is injured during the Chipmunks concert and is forced to leave the Chipmunks under the care of his aunt while he recuperates. Another accident occurs and this time the Chipmunks are left in the care of Dave’s nephew, Toby. Meanwhile, the three singing female chipmunks, Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor (also known as the Chipettes) are hired by Ian in a (plan) to revive his career. On a visit to school, the Chipmunks are bullied by jocks and go to the principal’s office. There they discover that the principal is a huge fan of their work and that he wants to help them raise money for their musical (venture).
