When one of King Arthur's knights defects and plots to seize control of Camelot, he targets Arthur's betrothed, Lady Guinevere, to use her against the king. The attack is thwarted by the swordsman Lancelot, who comes to share a mutual attraction to Guinevere as he becomes one of Arthur's knights.
