Continuing the sequel of the first and second parts, Don Corleone decides to renounce violence and legitimize his financial empire and huge investments by establishing broad economic ties with the Vatican. But the enthusiasm of the family's youth invites him to return to violence and to the path of crime, to affirm their dominating mafia position that is being threatened by minor gangs.
