Sarah struggles to cope as her brother Abdullah treats her badly and her mother forces her to marry Ahmed. Her friends, Farah and Manar, try to support her and convince her to get to know her suitor. After their return from London, Youssef asks his father to introduce him to his uncles.
Abdullah quarrels with Sarah after she visits Umm Mash'al (Mash'al's mother). Jarrah opposes his mother's wish to wed him to her friend's daughter, and he meets Manar and falls for her. Youssef gets in a car accident and is rushed to the hospital.
Ahmed is distressed that his mother is forcing him to marry Sarah, a dilemma that Sarah shares with her own mother. Anwar deceives multiple girls and pretends that he loves them. Abdel Rahman asks his brother Hamad to lend him some money.
As Ahmed and Sarah wed, he mistreats her from the first day. Hoda advises Hamad against giving Abdel Rahman any money. Farah's father returns from his travels. Jarrah tells Khaled about his feelings for Manar.
Sarah informs Farah that Anwar's mother has asked for her hand in marriage to Anwar. Sarah tells her mother the truth about her relationship with Ahmed. Hoda agrees to give Abdel Rahman money to keep Hamad's secret.
Mash'al is unhappy with his job at the barbershop. Hoda quarrels with her daughter Manar after the latter caused her to go into the police station. Jarrah confesses his love for Manar.
As Sarah's relationship with Ahmed continues to deteriorate, she tells him that she doesn't love him. When Youssef discovers that he is adopted, he seeks solace in Jarrah. Abu Mash'al (Mash'al's father) beats his son to discipline him.
Hamad tells Youssef that he adopted him to prevent his family from forcing him to take another wife, other than Hoda, to have a child. Farah and Anwar get engaged. Umm Mash'al tries to convince her son to see a psychiatrist.
Khaled decides to quit his job at the barbershop. As Hoda rebukes her daughter for her relationship with Jarrah, Hamad tries to convince her to accept their relationship.
Umm Sarah (Sarah's mother) asks Umm Mash'al to stay away from Sarah. Khaled starts his new job. Anwar asks Farah to expedite their wedding. Sarah tells her mother that she is pregnant.
Haitham tries to convince Khaled to come back home to comfort his mother. Hoda admonishes her daughter for agreeing to wed Jarrah behind her back. Umm Jarrah (Jarrah's mother) opposes his marriage to Manar. Ahmed quarrels with Sarah for telling his mother the truth about their marriage.
Aziz asks Mash'al to work with him in distributing drugs. When Manar identifies the girl whom Ahmed loves, Sarah confronts him about their relationship.
Jarrah and Manar resume their relationship after he assures her that his mother approves of their union. Sarah leaves Ahmed's house and returns to her parents' place. Umm Masha'al is concerned when she notices that her son has a lot of money. Farah discovers that Anwar is involved with another girl.
Sarah tells her mother that Ahmed has been cheating and that he is involved with someone else. When Sarah confronts Ahmed, he divorces her.
Sarah breaks down after her divorce. As Hamad quarrels with his siblings about the inheritance, they object to him writing all his properties over to his daughter Manar. Manar is distressed when Jarrah starts distancing himself from her again.
Jarrah tells Manar that he loves her, but the conflict between their families has an effect on their relationship. Anwar asks Farah to treat him as her husband prior to their wedding. Umm Jarrah continues to vehemently refuse to go with Jarrah to ask for Manar's hand.
Abdullah quarrels with Umm Mash'al and kicks her out of the house. Farah is shocked when Anwar disappears, but her efforts to find him prove unsuccessful.
Umm Sarah tells her daughter that Anwar wants to divorce Farah. Jarrah tells Youssef that he broke up with Manar to placate his mother.
As Mash'al gets kidnapped, his family gets a call asking for a huge ransom. Umm Jarrah decides to arrange Jarrah's engagement to a girl of her choosing despite his objections.
When Jarrah tells Manar about his engagement, she berates him and tells him to stay away from her. Farah's father passes away.
Farah's aunt asks her to return to her house after her father's death. Sarah discovers that Anwar has wed another girl.
Khaled advises Jarrah to forget about Manar. Mash'al agrees to see a psychiatrist. Jarrah celebrates his wedding.
Manar attends Jarrah's wedding and offers her congratulations, but she plots to take revenge on him and every other man who ever hurt her, or hurt Farah and Sarah. Youssef tells Salma that they have to wait until his parents return from their travels to ask for her hand. Sarah gives birth to a girl.
Umm Mash'al tells Manar that Abu Mash'al has asked to move back in with her. Manar starts enacting her plan to get close to Jarrah. Abdullah tells Sarah that he wants to marry Farah. Ahmed's mother tries to convince her son to get back together with Sarah after she gave birth.
Anwar tries to reconcile with Farah. Hamad tells his brother Abdel Rahman that he wrote everything he owns over to his wife and children. Abdullah asks his mother to help him marry Farah.
Youssef gets engaged to Salma. Jarrah is shocked when he sees how Manar has changed. Farah's cousin, Mohamed, tries to get close to her.
Farah offers Mohamed to partner up with him on a project. Jarrah meets Hamad and asks for Manar's hand, but Hamad refuses him.
Jarrah divorces his new wife. Umm Sarah informs her that she is now engaged to Abdullah's friend. As Farah agrees to wed Mohamed, she decides to come clean with him about her past relationship with Anwar.
Jarrah tells Manar that his mother has agreed to their marriage. Abdullah is upset that Farah has refused to marry him.
When Manar meets Jarrah's mother and confirms that she doesn't approve of her, she tells Jarrah that they need to leave each other for good. Manar, Farah, and Sarah decide that their lives have improved after their respective break ups. Umm Mash'al shares the same opinion.
