Set during World War II, when the army takes over Eel Marsh house and turns it into a military emergency hospital. Nurse Eve discovers that she has to deal with more than cases of wounded soldiers, after the arrival of children displaced from the war in London who wake up the dark inhabitant of the house.

A group of school children in London are evacuated with their teacher Eve, during the Blitz of World War II, and taken to an old empty estate, cut-off from the mainland. One by one they begin acting strangely, and Eve and the local military discover that they have awoken a dark force more terrifying than the city's air raids.
