Abdo always complains about the high prices and poor living conditions. Despite this, he refuses to work and spends most of his time either sitting in a café or scamming and borrowing money from his friends and his lover Qeshta. Abdo finds that the only hope for him to improve his life is by selling his and his mother's house, but she rejects the idea, and he calls this hope a long-term plan.
