Ragab quarrels with Asila who refuses to let him continue working for her, but Ragab manages to convince her to take him back as one of her beggars. Atef meets Mabsouta and tries to convince her to work in another region, but she refuses to avoid stirring up trouble.

Asila tells Ragab to stick to his assigned region and not to venture out. Nawara's father quarrels with her after she goes out and quarrels with a guy in the street. Atef returns home and meets with his friend Ragab. Mo'tamed joins members of the Muslim Brotherhood for a religious lesson.

When a police officer flirts with Atef's sister, Ragab ties him up in retaliation. Sheikh Shafi' asks for the hand of Atef's sister, but Atef rejects him. Sa'eid Al-Qassas and his father head to Cairo to meet up with a Major General, hoping that he will help Sa'eid get a job.

The Major General tells Sa'eid that he wants to buy donkeys to sell them to the Afghans. Mo'tamed aks to wed Nawara but Atef refuses. Atef tries to get one of the coaches at the club to find him a job. Atef's father is upset that Atef got low grades, rendering him unable to go to college.

Atef starts working with a sports coach. Mo'tamed proposes to Nawara, who agrees to wed him. Atef is furious when he learns of Nawara's decision. The villagers are shocked when they discover that Sa'eid and his father have bought a large number of donkeys.

Nawara dislikes Mo'tamed's house which is to be theirs after marriage, but her mother tries to convince her to accept both the debilitated house and the old furniture. Ragab pushes Atef to have intercourse with Mabsouta. When they return, they find Asila unconscious on the floor.

As Atef gets a job with the Major General, his mother rebukes him for quitting his job with his father on the basbousa stand. Atef questions Mo'tamed on the reason for the delay of his wedding to Nawara. The Major General asks Sa'eid to work with him in Cairo and leave his father behind.

Sa'eid's father passes away after warning his son against working with the Major General. Asila is released from the hospital and returns home to a grand celebration. Ragab invites Atef to attend the celebration, where he meets Mabsouta.

When Mabsouta meets the dancer Safwa, the latter offers her a job as her assitant. Mabsouta accepts and leaves Asila's place for Safwa's. Atef has a fight with one of the players after he records his fight with another player over a love affair.

Ragab acquiesces to Asila's repeated demands to marry her. Nawara and Mo'tamed wed. Mabsouta helps the dancer Ne'na'a at work and stays in her house.

When Mo'tamed informs Nawara that Sheikh Shafi' wants him to work in Saudi Arabia, her vehement opposition leads to a fight that ends in divorce. As Mabsouta quarrels with Ne'na'a's servant, Ne'na'a promises to find her a house nearby or a place on the building's roof to stay close to Ne'na'a.

Atef shows the photos he took to some professionals who decide to work with him. Mabsouta rents a room at a student housing. As Sa'eid starts his job at the import company which is secretly owned by Major General Magdy, he discovers that he is importing smuggled meat.

Sheikh Shafi' tries to reconcile Mo'tamed and Nawara. Mabsouta confesses to the neighboring students that she is not a student but a dancer's assistant.

Atef is annoyed that Nawara has agreed to go with Mo'tamed to Saudi Arabia. As Atef masters photography and starts taking photos at parties and selling them to newspapers, he gets called in by the police after he takes pictures of an influential man and his date.

Atef shows his pictures to the editor-in-chief, but the latter isn't impressed with the quality and tells him to sell them elsewhere. Atef asks the editor-in-chief to give him a chance to write an article. Asila marries Ragab Al-Farkh.

Ragab tells his life story to Atef and shares his real name and his past as a college student. Atef writes an article on Ragab which propels him to fame. Mabsouta asks her neighbors to teach her to read and write.

As Atef's star rises, he goes to interview the two players whom he quarreled with before, only for one of them to offer to give him his old car in exchange for Atef's help to take revenge on the girl who caused the old problem. Atef enlists Ragab's help to enact his plans.

Ragab helps Atef sneak some snakes into the wedding of the girl that the player wants revenge on. Major General Magdy is concerned when a drug dealer is late in paying him his money.

When Atef gets accused of stealing Tarek's car, he enlists Captain Gamal's help to prove his innocence. Rabei' admonishes Ahmed for meeting the former's daughter, Taghrid behind his back, but Ahmed tells him that he wants to wed Taghrid.

Under the pretense of buying some sweats, Atef takes Mabsouta to the warehouse, where he ends up having intercourse with her. When his father finds out, he kicks him out and causes a scandal in the neighborhood. Nawara sends her parents a letter to tell them that she had a baby.

Atef starts working with Nagwa, who helps him find lodging at a rooftop room. After a visit to his family home, he decides to stay away and never to return. Ragab discovers that the lawyer is trying to double-cross Asila.

Magdy's secretary records a conversation between Sa'eid and a guy who gave him money. Mabsouta saves Ne'na'a when a wedding attendees insult her and refuse to allow her to dance. Mabsouta decides to take the dance floor in Ne'na'a's stead.

The journalist Salwa looks for Atef to have him take pictures for her new article, but Nagwa tells her that Atef has left the country. She asks Mabsouta to help her write an article about beggars.

Salwa asks Asila to help her impersonate a beggar to get her scoop. Asila accepts when she finds out that Mabsouta is the one who sent Salwa, and asks Ragab to help Salwa with her mission. Mabsouta starts training to be a dancer.

Atef takes the next step in his relationship with Nagwa. As Nawara returns to Egypt, her family is shocked to discover that she has donned a niqab and Mo'tamed has grown out his beard. Major General Magdy vows revenge on Sa'eid after he discovers that Sa'eid is double-crossing him.

Nawara tries to convince her family to wed Taghrid to Sheikh Otba. A woman enlists Nagwa's help to get revenge on her boyfriend by planting camera at one of her parties.

Atef pretends to be a waiter to infiltrate the party and take pictures of all the attendees. Mabsouta takes the name Farha. As Farha's star rises, Asila and Ragab visit her at the nightclub.

As Nawara continues her pursuits to convince her family to agree to the Saudi suitor, she informs them that their refusal will lead to her divorce. Taghrid asks her fiancé Ahmed to marry her posthaste to put an end to the matter, but Ahmed refuses to act behind her family's back.

Farha's star continues to rise. Nagwa is thrilled with the pictures that Atef took. Taghrid agrees to wed the Saudi Sheikh in exchange for an apartment for her family.

Farag passes away. Atef decides to take revenge on Nagwa after their problems reach a dead end. When Taghrid's husband passes away, she gives up the company to Nawara and Mo'tamed. Sa'eid changes his name and partners up with Farha's husband on a new project.
