Youssef decides to leave Britain and return to Egypt after 9 years. He tries to get into the world of politics through supporting a presidential candidate. When Youssef crosses paths with the flight attendant, Hala, he tells her he left Egypt when his girlfriend was murdered.

When two strangers find Youssef left unconscious on the side of the road, they take him to the hospital. A fortnight after the incident, he wakes up having lost his memory. All he has is a paper with the number of the coordinator of the presidential campaign and Hala's number.

As Youssef starts his treatment, memories rush back to him, albeit blurred and vague. Youssef sells the car of his assailants and uses the money to rent a house. The coordinator of the presidential campaign is found dead.

Youssef evades an assassination attempt targeting him. He steals Rafiq's money to help him in his journey to recover his identity and find out who wants him dead. Youssef decides to look for his family, only for the police to arrest him in an ambush for carrying a weapon and not having an ID.

As Youssef finds his mother, he is shocked when she says she has no idea who he is. Wa'el calls Youssef and tells him that the man who was impersonating him died in a car accident. Wa'el kills Rabab.

Youssef has memories of Shagan, the singer he was in love with but she turned out to be married to Magdy, Ra'fat's rival presidential candidate. It is revealed that Youssef's relationship with Shagan got her murdered. In the present, a stranger attacks Youssef in his apartment and leaves him injured.

Rabab goes to Ra'fat's campaign headquarters to warn him of a major conspiracy being hatched to target him, but a group of people kidnaps her before she divulges the details. Rafiq threatens the doctor treating Youssef. Youssef goes to meet Montasser, who is supposed to lead him to Fares.

Youssef's mother denies having any connection to him, and she turns out to be in cahoots with Fares Askar. Hala's ex-husband prevents her from seeing Youssef. Things get blurry for Youssef as he has recollections of Shagan calling him Mamdouh.

Rafiq confronts Youssef at the clinic and kills Dr. So'ad. Dr. Ayman saves Youssef. At the clinic, two armed men break in, but Youssef defends himself against them. Youssef is still haunted by memories he cannot make sense of.

The police find So'ad's dead body at Hala's apartment. Hossam starts his investigations and searches for Youssef. Youssef asks to meet Zeyad Askar.

Youssef and Hala hide at Fou'ad Askar's house, while Youssef recalls having murdered Shagan.

Youssef, Ayman, and Hala manage to escape from Askar's villa. Hala's uncle meets Youssef and offers him help. A presidential candidate becomes targeted, threatening the future of the elections.

Youssef saves Hala when Hossam beats her up. Ra'afat Al-Rawy learns that his wife has betrayed him as he hears a recording of her telling Rafiq where Rabab is. Youssef has memories about his involvement in killing Ragab Al-Shal, an opposition journalist.

Youssef gains consciousness to find himself locked up at Rafiq's, who tries to poison him. Youssef manages to flee and has memories of the time he was a prisoner and Rafiq was an officer in prison. Hossam resumes his investigation to find out the truth about the case and Youssef's true identity.

Youssef goes to Ra'fat's campaign headquarters, where he meets Ra'fat and offers to help him get rid of Rabab's body. Hossam finds Rafiq unconscious besides three other corpses. A mysterious group abducts Dr. Ayman.

Dr. Ayman tells Officer Hossam that he is willing to confess the whole truth. Ra'fat's rival candidate tries to get information on Ra'fat from the latter's wife. Hossam is blackmailed.

Hossam arrests Youssef. Meanwhile, the lady whom Youssef believes to be his mother poisons Rafiq and reaches the place that has Askar's acquittal proof.

Askar awaits Sabry's arrival from London. Youssef recalls that he and Rafiq received orders from Afifi to kill journalist Ragab. Hala's uncle searches into Youssef's professional record because he thinks that Youssef was an ex-cop.

Youssef suspects Bassam to be a traitor to Ra'fat Al-Rawy. Dr. Nessma leaks Ra'fat's information to his rival.

Youssef is shot, and Dayf rescues him as Dr. Ayman takes out the bullet of Youssef's body. Hala finds the phone number of a kiosk owner called Misha. As Hala meets Misha, he tells her that Youssef's real name is Ahmed Gharib.

Youssef starts to recuperate and memories from his childhood come rushing in. Youssef meets Misha, who tells him they grew up together at the orphanage, and then they were imprisoned. Preparations are made for the presidential debate. Hala and Dayf are kidnapped.

Sayed tries to help Youssef find the orphanage where he grew up in an attempt to refresh his memory. Ra'fat saves Nancy from a conspiracy drawn by Hafez.

Hossam is taken off the case investigating the corruption of ex-cops. It turns out that Shagan is alive as she recalls her plot with Youssef to falsely claim that he murdered her just to keep her safe.

As Youssef meets Sabry, he recalls all his previous missions and illegal acts that he did for Sabry. Sabry asks Youssef to work with him for one more, life-changing mission.

Ra'fat gets Nancy to leave Egypt to keep her safe. To test Youssef's loyalty, Sabry asks him to shoot Hala's uncle, Tarek.

Tarek is hospitalized after he gets shot in the shoulder. Youssef remembers being married to Samar in the past, so he tries to contact her.

Youssef kidnaps Nancy to put pressure on Ra'fat. As the presidential debate starts, Ra'fat withdraws to save Nancy.

As Youssef meets Samar, she recounts to him all about their marriage and how Sabry urged them to break up. Hossam is transferred to Marsa Matruh to keep him off Youssef's case.

Hala uncovers her true identity to Youssef, revealing that she has been working for Mostafa Mekhtar to monitor Youssef. Youssef is kidnapped.

As Youssef wakes up in the hospital, everyone around him tries to persuade him that all the recent incidents were incidents of a film that Youssef wrote and was so invested in that it blurred his realization. But Mostafa Mekhtar tells Youssef the truth and helps him leave Egypt.
