The widowed Farah is having financial troubles as her landlord Raeif tries to evict her and her daughters from the apartment. She starts to work for Michael's mother, Diana. When she loses her money after a fight with Michael, the latter brings her money back.

As Michael befriends Farah's daughter, Negm, he tries to get close to Farah. Raeif vandalizes Farah's apartment while she is at work.

Diana is angry when Michael helps Farah. Raeif beats his wife, Zulfa. Michael's girlfriend, Serena, treats Farah with notable superiority. Farah fights with Raeif.

When Farah is arrested for assaulting Raeif, Zulfa takes her husband's side. Unbeknownst to Farah, Michael gives Raeif money to leave Farah alone. Serena incites Diana against Farah and tells Farah about the money Michael gave Raeif.

Farah quarrels with Michael and Diana. When Michael takes Farah out, she gets drunk and tells him about her life. Michael tells his family that he loves Farah.

Diana asks Michael's father to interfere with Michael's relationship with Farah. Farah cuts ties with Zulfa and treats Michael coldly. Diana apologizes to Farah.

When Diana insults Farah, Michael kicks her out. Farah fights with Michael when he buys a Christmas tree for her children. Michael decides to go to London.

Farah and Michael reconcile and she asks him not to leave. Farah reconciles with Zulfa and brings her home. Michael tells Mira that he loves Farah.

Michael invites Farah to dinner where he confesses his feelings for her. Farah is shocked when her brother-in-law storms in and fights with Michael. Naemat Allah accuses Farah of messing around with Michael.

Naemat Allah asks Farah for money to pay his debt. When Farah refuses, he threatens her with her daughters' custody and tells her to get the money from Michael. Farah kicks Michael out to protect him from Naemat Allah.

Michael and Serena get back together. Zulfa reconciles with Raeif. Naemat Allah assaults Farah in an attempt to seize her money. When a drunken Michael shows up at Farah's place, Naemat Allah photographs them in each other's arms.

Naemat Allah threatens Farah with the photo he took to force her to give him money. Farah and Zulfa plan to open a pastry shop.

Diana shakes off her depression after a suicide attempt. Naemat Allah kidnaps Farah's daughters.

Michael gives Farah the money. When Naemat Allah grows close to the girls, he decides to give the girls back to Farah and turn himself in.

Farah confesses her feelings for Michael. Michael takes Farah's family to an amusement park. Zulfa and Farah are shocked to learn that Raeif sold the building and all his properties to an unknown buyer.

Michael assures the family of his support and informs them that he is the one who has bought the building. Farah quarrels with Michael and moves into Mary's house with Zulfa and the girls.

Michael and Farah reconcile. Farah starts paying attention to how she looks as she goes to see Michael before he leaves the country.

As Michael and Farah have a romantic evening together, Farah assures her daughters that she won't marry again. Diana is thrilled that Michael is leaving.

Zulfa and Farah open their pastry shop. Michael pretends to have left the country. Diana and Farah reconcile.

Diana asks Farah to forgive her and they go shopping for Christmas presents. When Farah contacts Michael, she starts to suspect that he lied to her.

When Farah throws a Christmas party, Michael shows up dressed as Santa Claus. Michael and Farah meet after the party and decide to stay together.
