Siham complains about the poverty of her fiancé, Nadim. Her brother Hisham does everything in his power to expedite the surgery of their brother Kamal. The businessman Yasser is fed up with his son Sherif's recklessness. The secretary Nabila catches Yasser's eyes.

After Yasser hires Nabila as his personal secretary, she refuses to accept an expensive gift from him. Hashem and Nadim have no luck in furnishing their apartments in order to get married. Sherif gets engaged to Dalia.

The police gets a tip about one of Sherif's apartments being used for trading drugs. When Nabila's house collapses, Yasser gives her the apartment after they have an unregistered marriage. Nabila gets arrested after the police find drugs in the apartment.

Yasser hides the news about his marriage to Nabila, but sends his lawyer to defend her. As Ezzat interrogates Nabila, Sherif gets called in for interrogation. The news about Nabila's arrest spreads, leaving tongues wagging about her.

As Yasser bribes Hany to tamper with Nabila's case file, he asks her to have patience until he secures her release. Hashem is forced to sign promissory notes to buy Siham's furniture. Nabila bonds with the prisoner Doreya.

After Yasser's friend, Salah, operates on Kamal, Hashem is asked to change the number of the case file in exchange for money. When he gets interrogated, Sherif denies having anything to do with the apartment. Shawqiya grows suspicious of Yasser's relationship with Nabila.

When Hashem refuses to cooperate, Fotouh promises to get Kamal a job and offers him money. Dalia mistakenly believes that Nabila is Sherif's sweetheart. Hashem is unable to pay the carpenter's fees.

When Hashem refuses to listen to Kamal, Fotouh raises the bribery money to entice him. As Kamal persists in trying to push Hashem to agree, the latter moves the case file to make sure that Yasser's men won't find it. Hashem grows sad that he can not afford to wed Samia.

Salama fails in the mission Fotouh assigned to him. Nabila is transferred to the hospital after she suffers from a psychological crisis. When Hashem puts the case file in Nadim's safe, Kamal offers for Nadim to carry out the mission himself instead of Hashem.

As Nadim promises Yasser to take action, he informs him that Hashem has copies of the case file at home. Nadim tells Siham about the whole thing, and she agrees to cooperate with him and Kamal.

When Siham finds the copy of the case file, Hashem quarrels with her and takes it, before taking the case file from Nadim's safe. Shawqiya makes a deal with Nabila to give her money in exchange for her staying away from Sherif and Yasser.

Hashem changes his mind about giving Samia the case file out of concern that she will use it to her own gain. Fotouh beats Hashem. Dalia decides to do something to protect her engagement to Sherif.

Dalia gets close to Hashem to gain his trust. When Nadim turns on Siham, she vows revenge on him. Hashem is saddened when Samia gets engaged. Nabila falls victim to a scam artist in prison.

When Hashem recounts his story to Dalia, she feels guilty for deceiving him. Hashem finds Dalia as she searches for the case file in the location where he buried it. Noura waits for Nabila to pay her.

Out of guilt, Dalia comes clean to Hashem. She gives Yasser the case file to prevent him from killing Hashem. Hashem's siblings regret their plots. Hashem confesses everything to the head prosecutor.
