Fida returns to her family home after her divorce. A number of men in the neighborhood are taken by the police to be interrogated about a mysterious young donkey that was used in demonstrations, and they search for it in all the houses of the neighborhood.

The people of the neighborhood complain about the constant power outages. Salam tells his father, Abu Adel, that several countries are offering asylum, upon which Abu Adel and his family consider the option of asylum.

Fayhaa refuses to tell her husband that she loves him. Salam tries to persuade the whole family to agree to emigrate from Syria, but the mother insists on refusing to travel.

Abu Adel decides to sell their house, while the whole family plans to travel abroad, and they try to study the barriers with which they're faced, but Yaqoub, Salam's brother-in-law, and his sister are kidnapped.

Fida is plagued by nightmares about the terrorists. Everyone tries to figure out how to help their kidnapped relatives as a three-million ransom is demanded, so they try to come up with the required money.

Everyone decides to vote to choose the person who will hand over the ransom to the terrorists, upon which Salam is chosen, so he tries to leave his will in case he does not return.

As the family loses contact with Salam after he hands over the ransom, everyone fears that he may not return, so Yaqoub decides to go look for him.

The family tries to raise ten million in order to free Salam from the terrorists' clutches. It turns out that Adel and Maysoun are also the masterminds of the kidnapping of Assaf. Umm Adel (Adel's mother) discovers that Yaqoub is stealing stuff from the house and that Fida begs in the streets.

The mother decides to place an ad to sell the house in order to raise the money for Salam's ransom, but they offer it at a very high price. The neighbors help Abu Adel look for a buyer for the house, which gets sold, whereupon Abu Adel plans to travel after a month.

As Abu Adel pays the ransom, Salam is released. Everyone prepares their passports and stuff. Abu Adel disposes of the furniture in his house. Also, he gets arrested for exchanging currency, then he gets released, and the children try to learn where their father's money is.

The new owner of the house asks that Abu Adel leave him one room, while everyone tries to find a solution for the detained Yasmine, and they also try to find out where she is being detained.

Everyone is terrified by the sound of gunfire coming from the battlefields, while armed men hang outside the house, so everyone hides, and Maysoun discovers that her gold has been stolen.

Everyone tries to defend the neighborhood and protect it from theft and looting, setting up a barricade to search whoever passes through it. As news comes that Yasmine will be released from prison next Friday, Salam goes to pick her up.

Everyone discovers that Salam has sold his kidney. Yasmine is released from prison. The existence of the barrier is reinforced, and those who guard it deal with the people of the neighborhood all the time. Abu Kamal succeeds in obtaining extra money.

Abu Adel's family decides to sell the furniture in preparation for traveling on the next day. As Abu Adel tries to clear his remaining debts, the trip is postponed again when he suffers a head injury by a mortar shell.

As everyone waits for Abu Adel to recover from his injury, all the children try to help their father recover and postpone the departure from the house until he wakes up from his coma.

After Abu Adel wakes up from his coma, the family members pack their bags to embark on their postponed trip, but they have to go through the fire, and Abu Adel's doctor accompanies them.

As all roads are closed, traveling becomes impossible. A strange man arrives in the neighborhood looking for his house and ends up at Abu Adel's house, and Salam tries to help this man, who is named Abu Darwish, search for his two sons.

Abu Darwish learns that his two sons were separated and are fighting alongside opposing parties, and as he tries to travel to them to check on them, he dies in an explosion.

As a terrorist cell attacks Abu Adel's house, its members decide to divide the women of the house among themselves, whereupon Abu Adel tries to devise a plan to stand up to the terrorists.

Members of the Syrian National Army are stationed in Abu Adel's house to confront the terrorists, and they decide to be on the lookout for any upcoming terrorist operation. Fida complains about the intrusion of a soldier into her life.

Abu Adel's family packs their bags, only to find that there's a suicide bomber in the neighborhood who threatens to blow himself up, and when they discover that he loves to play music and sing, they encourage him to do so.

As those in charge of the ambush discover that there's been a robbery in the neighborhood, they try to find out the identity of the thief. Abu Adel and his family prepare to go the next morning, but their car runs out of gas.

Members of Abu Adel's family as well as the residents of the neighborhood suffer from hunger and lack of food, so they try to search for food anywhere. Radwan is injured during his quest for food.

Everyone waits for the water truck to come to the neighborhood and tries to get water, after which everyone competes to take a shower with the remaining water. Fayhaa discovers that her husband has stolen the hidden water.

Yaqoub decides to leave the house after he gets fed up, whereupon Salam tries to convince him to return to the house and leave Assaf's house; meanwhile, Yaqoub wishes to establish an association for the provision of bread.

Yaqoub suffers from appendicitis, upon which everyone tries to find a doctor to perform an appendectomy for him, but unfortunately, they only find a dentist.

Salam decides with Grendizer to secure a food supply route. Fayhaa cooks food, much to everyone's joy. A party for Yasmine's birthday is held.

As everyone thinks that Adel was writing security reports informing on those around him, he decides to leave the house, whereupon Abu Adel decides to apologize to him in public. Adel and Yacoub decide to engage the enemy with weapons.

Fida looks for the doctor she loves as she seeks to stay and not travel with her family, while everyone tries to dissuade her from this decision, after which they are again unable to travel as Fida gives birth.
