Ahlam gets in a relationship with Ziad, while Salma decides not to pay much attention to Youssef's marriage proposal, Mariam travels to Uganda with Hesham, and Kamilia gets back to Karim following his wife's death. Ahlam and Salma become friends with Khadija and Malak.

Ahlam's show starts airing and she totally collapses when Assem calls. Salma rejects Youssef's proposal and wants to stay friends. Malak is jealous because her husband is a bariatric physician and he sees many women. Assem calls Ahlam one more time and tells her he misses her.

Khadija quarrels with Nevine, but Nevine decides to stay faithful to their friendship even when Mazen tries to incite her against Khadija. Youssef travels to Dubai alone, while Salma decides to learn acting. Malak gets angry with Walid's parents for constantly judging her lifestyle.

Ahlam asks Ziad to stay away from her, and Salma doubts her father's faithfulness to her mother. Malak's concern over her children intensifies in the wake of the recent kidnapping incidents. The director of the channel tells Ahlam and Khadija that their show isn't as successful as Mazen's.

Khadija suggests that they fake receiving calls to make their show more watchable, but Ahlam rejects the idea. Salma refuses to meet Youssef. Tha'er cannot pay the apartment rent. Khadija accidentally runs into her ex-husband and learns he has been collaborating with Mazen, her opponent.

Salah tries to reconcile with Khadija, but she cannot forgive him. Malak's children fall ill, which prevents the family from traveling. Salma thinks of a way to advertise for Tha'er's acting workshop. Saied tells Ahlam that the café is put up for sale. Assem tries to make it up for Ahlam.

Ahlam is disturbed by Assem's sudden appearance, but to guarantee she gets rid of the soft spot she has for him, she agrees to marry Ziad and they start their wedding preparations. Malak tries to look better to woo her husband, and her attempts are indeed fruitful.

Assem stops Ahlam and Ziad's marriage. Salma throws a birthday party for Tha'er, but he faints and both Ahlam and Salma look after him. Khadija runs into Hassan, her childhood crush. It is revealed that Walid is cheating on Malak.

Youssef returns to Egypt and tries to help Ahlam with her show. However, Youssef's return results in several problems as Salma sees him with Ahlam, and then with Miral, and she gets madly jealous. Laila breaks up with Ehab who has been cheating on her. Youssef quarrels with Tha'er.

Ahlam starts her business with Youssef and Miral, and the latter informs Ahlam that she and Youssef will get married. Salma cannot determine whether she loves Youssef or Tha'er; she gets equally mad when she sees them with other women. Assem tries to reconcile with Ahlam.

Assem proposes to Ahlam and they go to check their new apartment. Similarly, Miral and Youssef are preparing for their wedding ceremony. Salah is upset that things started to look up for his ex-wife, and he asks Mazen to do something about it.

Assem leaves Ahlam and travels to see her daughter, and Ahlam gets incredibly mad. Salma has a mental breakdown when she learns of Youssef's marriage, and Tha'er stands by her. Assem helps Tha'er with running the café. Walid doesn't want to break up with Dina, and his quarrels with Malak continue.

Ahlam tries to move on, and she decides to focus primarily on her work and career. Salma accompanies Tha'er to the cemetery where his late ex-fiancée is buried. Miral tries to bring joy into Youssef's life.

Khadija gets angry at Ahlam for what she did as a response to Mazen's episode. Salma tells Tha'er she loves him, and he gets unspeakably shocked, but Ahlam advises him to consider the matter. Youssef wants Miral to quit her job, but she refuses.

Salma gets in a relationship with Tha'er despite their manifest differences. Ahlam faces some dreadful work-related problems and she was almost killed. Mazen asks Khadija to forgive him. Miral agrees to quit her job to please Youssef.

Malak asks Walid to help Laila find a job. Ahlam meets Sayed and his four wives, and her views regarding polygamy are slightly altered. Ahlam learns that Ziad is in a relationship.

Salma still suspects her father's behavior. Youssef is getting cold with Miral. Hassan tells Khadija he has heart failure and asks her to look after his daughter. Tha'er attends a movie's special screening and Mahmoud, the producer, offers him to work together.

Tha'er meets Mahmoud, but they disagree over some details. Khadija travels with Hassan for his surgery, and Mazen gets extremely mad. Salma learns that Tha'er has been managing Assem's money all this time. Laila starts working with Walid.

Assem's lawyer informs Tha'er that Assem and his daughter died in a car accident, and all his fortune hereby goes to his wife. Miral is mad that Youssef neglects her and focuses only on work. Ahlam's friends wonder how to break the news of Assem's death to her.

It turns out that Assem isn't dead; he faked his death to be able to return to Egypt with his daughter. Assem lives at Tha'er's place and Ahlam takes care of his daughter. Mazen's first wife threatens Khadija.

Mazen's family threatens him to divorce Khadija. Assem tries to reconcile with Ahlam. Laila tells Malak that Dina has been acting out of character recently. Tha'er is considering his relationship with Salma, and he gets mad when she meets Mahmoud.

Mazen refuses to break up with Khadija. Assem travels on a business trip and entrusts Ahlam with his daughter. Salma gets mad when Tha'er voices his wish to end their relationship. Ahlam asks Assem to give her some time to consider his marriage proposal.

Khadija has an accident that Mazen's uncle plotted for. Laila threatens Walid to force him to end his relationship with Dina. Tha'er feels guilty for leaving Salma. Mazen breaks up with Khadija and asks his wife to forgive him, and Heba asks Khadija to forgive her.

Hassan looks after Khadija and she tells him about her relationship with Mazen. Tha'er gets in a depressive episode over breaking up with Salma. Youssef neglects his wife as he looks after Salma, and Salma's feels culpable.

Malak has a miscarriage and she feels guilty. Hassan tells Mazen that it was Khadija who paid for his surgery. Meanwhile, Tha'er gets closer to his doctor and develops a crush on her.

Salma learns that her father has Alzheimer's. Monika falls ill and wants to see her daughter. Khadija puts forth the idea that she and Hassan get married, and Hassan is overjoyed. Shahd opens up to Tha'er about her life.

Khadija and Hassan start their wedding preparations. Miral overhears Youssef confessing his love for Salma, and she insists on having a divorce. Salma feels culpable. Youssef learns that Miral is pregnant.

Salma refuses to marry Youssef, so he returns to his wife and begs for her forgiveness. Mahmoud the producer offers Salma a role, but she soon learns that he wants to marry her.

Things get worse between Hassan and Khadija. Salma suffers from Mahmoud's mistreatment of her and he goes too far as to threaten her. Walid tells Malak that he wants to marry her sister, Laila, and the family is utterly shocked.

Ahlam tries to solve things between Hassan and Khadija. Mazen helps Salma break up with Mahmoud. Khadija breaks up with Hassan, and when Assem returns and proposes to Ahlam, she refuses to marry him. The four friends are now single, but they're enjoying their togetherness.
