The series resumes the stories about Levantine life, covering the period in the 1930s, including the 1936 treaty which paved the way for Syria's independence, through the story of Mo'taz, a Muslim man whose wish to marry the Jewish Sarah ignites a sectarian divide within the neighborhood, intersecting with the events of the French occupation of the country.
