Dayashankar wants to marry his daughter Pooja off to Amar, but she falls in love with the pilot Vijay. Finally, the family consents to their marriage, but when Vijay is thought to have died in an accident not long after the wedding, Pooja marries Amar. The unexpected event is Vijay's return, when he learns that the tragedy is staged so that Amar will marry Pooja.
