After he kills a soldier, Ibrahim runs away but not before giving his young daughter to Nasab to care for. As the soldiers return with a body dressed in Ibrahim's clothes, Nasab believes Ibrahim dead, when the truth is that he fled to Palestine. Ibrahim's daughter grows up to be a teacher

The soldiers arrest Ibrahim as he waits in Nasab's house. As Yasmina convinces Nasab to take an injured soldier into the house, she cuts her hair off to convince the veterinarian, Adam, to take the bullet out of him.

Selim brings Yasmina a letter from her father. The wounded soldier wakes up and leaves. As Yasmina takes her father's letter to Nadim, Karima hires her as a maid. A soldier tells Ibrahim that the ID he has belongs to a soldier who died on the front lines.

Yasmina learns that the wounded soldier's name is Nader. As Karima learns that no records exist of Ibrahim, the Turkish soldiers inform her that they killed Ibrahim and buried him in a mass grave after he killed one of them. Yasmina describes her father to Nadim, who reconsiders his decision to make her leave.

Yasmina changes Nader's bandages and treats his leg. When Nasab visits the mansion to check on Yasmina, she recounts her story with Ibrahim and Yasmina to Nadim. Nadim tells Karima that he will kick Yasmina out if she turns out to be a liar.

Nadim asks Nagla not to assign hard tasks for Yasmina. Nader recalls hearing Yasmina's voice in Nasab's house. Karima advises Nader to stay away from Yasmina. As Karima orders Yasmina to collect firewood, she tells Adel to set the dogs free.

The dogs bark at Yasmina before settling down. Ibrahim recounts how he killed the Turkish soldier to defend a woman. Yasmina tells Nadim and Nader of her idea to bring water to cultivate the land, leading the two to follow her suggestion. Yasmina tells Nagla that Nader is watching her.

As Yasmina visits Father Stephan to get the dynamite needed to dig for water, Nader accompanies her, which upsets Karima. As Nadim invites the workers to his house to celebrate their success, Yasmina refuses to dance with Nader at the party. Somaya is upset that Nader wants to dance with a maid.

As Yasmina gets injured during a raid, Nader carries her home. The angry Karima asks Nagla not to care for Yasmina. Nasab brings Adam to treat Yasmina, but Karima claims that she is not in the house. Ibrahim recalls an incident involving him and the soldier Aziz.

Karima informs Nader that she hates Yasmina because Nadim wants her to fall for him. Adam reveals to Nader that Yasmina is the reason he got treated for his shoulder wound. Ibrahim threatens to reveal something to the Turkish soldiers about Aziz.

Yasmina starts to recover. As Aziz recalls Ibrahim's home address, he ties him up and flees with him. When Yasmina gets angry when Nader accuses her of having an affair with Nadim, she leaves the house and returns to Nasab's house. Nadim slaps Nader when the latter brings up the affair to him.

As Nader visits Yasmina to apologize, he carries her back to the house forcibly. When Adam tells Karima and Nader about Yasmina cutting off her hair for Nader's treatment, Karima reveals her suspicions of him and Yasmina. Samer returns from the war.

As Samer tests Yasmina to discern her suitability for a better job, Nader quarrels with him and tells him to leave her alone as she is waiting for her father's return. Ibrahim talks to the soldier who fled with him, telling him about how the properties were divided between him and his brother, Nadim.

As Samer overhears Karima and Adel plotting to put a golden necklace among Yasmina's things and accuse her of theft, he convinces Yasmina to stay when she tries to leave the house after Karima finds the necklace among her things, promising that he will prove her innocence.

Samer claims to Karima, Nadim, and Nader that he is the one who planted the necklace among Yasmina's clothes, apologizing to her in front of them and Adam. Yasmina helps to hide Nader from the Turkish soldiers. Ibrahim and his friend hide in Nasab's house.

Nader bids his family and Yasmina farewell as he leaves to hide with the Agha from the Turkish soldiers. As Nasab helps Ibrahim and his friend hide from the Turkish soldiers, she shows them a safe route to get to Yasmina. As Karima ushers Ibrahim in, she goes to Adel with a request.

As Karima turns Ibrahim in to the Turkish soldiers, he gets tortured and told to choose between execution or joining the war on the front lines. Nader refuses to sleep with Somaya before marriage. Adel tells Karima that Adam found a button in the house, leaving him to look for its owner.

The Agha agrees to let Nader go back home. As Nader tries to confess his feelings for Yasmina, she tells him that she doesn't want it said that she fell for him because he is rich. As Karim convinces Nader to get engaged to Somaya, Nadim asks Somaya's father for her hand for Nader.

Nader gets upset when Nadim, Karima, and Nazem set a date for the engagement without consulting him. Nader suspects that Samer and Yasmina are in love. On their engagement day, Somaya passes out when Nader announces in front of their guests that the engagement has been postponed.

As Nazem grows angry with Nader for what he did, Somaya proves willing to forgive him but only if he apologizes in public. Yasmina denies to Somaya that she is in a relationship with Nader. When Somaya slaps Nader, he slaps her back and reveals that he only sees her as a sister.

Nazem and Somaya ask Nazmat Pasha to send Nader back to the army to discipline him. Karima and Adel's plan to send Yasmina out to the market fails as Nader follows her. Nader confesses his love for Yasmina and takes her back home.

When Nader tells Samer about his feelings for Karima, Samer wishes him well in dealing with Nadim and Karima. When Nader refuses to get engaged to Somaya, she turns him in to the Turkish soldiers. Yasmina visits Somaya and agrees to disappear from their lives after bringing Nader back.

Yasmina asks Samer to keep her deal with Somaya a secret. Somaya apologizes to Nader, Karima, and Nadim. Nader gets released from prison. Yasmina refuses to take money from Nadim to leave the house. Karima and Nadim inform Nader that Samer and Yasmina spent a day together.

Yasmina refuses to reveal where she and Samer were to Nader. As Yasmina leaves the house, Nader sees Samer hugging her. As Nader hits Yasmina, Samer defends him but Nader hits him too. Umm Aziz (Aziz's mother) welcomes Yasmina in her house since the road to Nasab's house has been cut off.

When Nader refuses to share a meal with Samer and admonishes him, Adam is forced to reveal Yasmina and Somaya's deal in front of Nadim and Karima. Nader confronts Somaya about her actions with him and her deal with Yasmina. Yasmina finds a guy to take her to a road near Nasab's house.

Adam leaves the house. Yasmina learns that Nasab fled from a raid, leaving the house to be robbed by thieves. A woman hosts Yasmina in her room. Nader goes looking for Yasmina to bring her back to the mansion.

When Adam arrives at Nasab's house, he finds it deserted. Nader manages to beat two thieves after they attack him, but a third thief steals his horse. Yasmina's host passes away.

As Nader runs away from the Turkish soldiers, they follow him home and arrest him in front of Nadim and Karima. Nader becomes a soldier alongside Ibrahim. As Adam looks for Yasmina at a monastery, he starts to treat the wounded. When Yasmina grows ill due to the lack of food, she gets moved to the monastery.

Nadim takes Karima to his family home, leaving money behind for Adel and Nagla. Nazem and Somaya go to Switzerland. As Nader tries to escape, he nearly gets killed, but Ibrahim and Emad bring him back. Adam takes Yasmina on as his assistant, revealing what Nader did to Somaya when he found out the truth.

As Emad passes away and Nader gets injured, Nader tells Ibrahim his name, leading Ibrahim to realize that Nader is his nephew. Ibrahim transfers Nader to the monastery before leaving to avoid getting arrested. Nader fails to recognize Yasmina or Adam. Ibrahim sneaks into the monastery.

Father Stephan helps Ibrahim escape. Adam tells Yasmina that Nader has temporary amnesia. Nadem and Somaya learn that their house was bombed during a raid. As the war ends, Yasmina and Adam rejoice. Nadim and Karima go back home.

In front of Nazem and Somaya, Nader reveals to Karima and Nadim that the guy who saved him claimed to be his uncle Ibrahim. Samer goes back home. As Ibrahim gives Nasab some gold and money, she reveals that Yasmina is working as a maid in Nadim's house.

As Ibrahim goes to his mansion, he admonishes Karima for turning him in to the soldiers and admonishes Nadim for robbing him and making Yasmina into a maid. Yasmina passes out when Ibrahim reveals that he is her father. Ibrahim gives Nadim and Karima time to leave the house.

Nadim and Karim keep silent when Nazem complains that Yasmina poured some juice over Somaya's head. Ibrahim takes Yasmina to a hotel and buys her clothes and gold. Nadim and Karim confirm to Nader and Samer that Ibrahim is their uncle and Yasmina is his daughter.

Nazem and Somaya learn that Nadim and Karima are weak towards Ibrahim. Yasmina is saddened that Nader and his family are about to leave the mansion. Nader has a breakdown when he sees Emad, recalling the last moments of his life.

As the shock helps Nader regain his memories, he confesses his love for Yasmina, but Ibrahim separates them and locks Yasmina in a room. Nadim reveals to Nader and Samer what he and Karima have done to Ibrahim. Nagla sees Karima with a gun.

Yasmina saves Karima as the latter tries to kill herself. As Nadim and his family leave the mansion, Adel and Nagla are saddened. Nazem and Somaya leave. When Adam figures out where Nader is after a while, Yasmina asks him to take her to Nader.

When Yasmina confesses her love for Nader, he tells her that they will reunite when he gets a job to secure their future. As Nader goes to Beirut for work, he gets promoted to be a manager. Samer forces Ibrahim to hire him. Nazem refuses to lend Nadim any money.

As Nadim falls ill, Yasmina takes Adam to treat him. Adam lies to Ibrahim and claims that Nadim's condition is incurable. Ibrahim checks on Nadim and asks him and Karima to return to the mansion. When Nader returns to propose to Yasmina, she tells him that his family has returned.

Nader and Ibrahim confront each other when the former arrives to ask for Yasmina's hand. Ibrahim asks for two days to give Nader an answer. As Nasab advises Ibrahim to approve Nader and Yasmina's marriage, Ibrahim indicates that he needs Nasab in his life.

As it starts raining, Yasmia goes out to Nader, who has been sleeping outside the house. Nasab talks to Ibrahim about approving Nader and Yasmina's marriage. As Ibrahim stipulates that Yasmina must agree to his own marriage to Nasab in return, she agrees, and the family celebrates.
