Doug has always been the odd one out in his brainiac family. When a random incident gives him the chance to join a minor league hockey team, he takes it, even though he doesn't even know how to skate. It's now his turn to beat the odds and lead his new team to a win.
After a pro hockey lockout, Doug Glatt starts to settle into his regular life in anticipation of the birth of his child. But when his old hockey nemesis is made captain of the team, Doug finds himself drawn back to the game as he seeks to put an end to his old team's losing streak.
