Barabbas is the thief who was brought before Jesus to receive forgiveness. Barabbas was set free without the help of Jesus, but he still believed that internal chains held him back from full freedom. He intensified his search for his soul in an effort to win his freedom, and in the process, he went through several hardships that brought him to the arena of flogging.
