Ghalia's mother, Khadija, works as a house aide for a kind widower whose children neglect him. As the widower's son, El Monjy, tries to get close to Ghalia, he ends up quarreling with Khadija. The police summon Ghalia to question her about the murder of Osman, who wanted to marry her.

As Ghalia goes to her uncle Manwar to ask him to buy her father's land, his son El Aradawy convinces him to buy it. When Ghalia's mother passes away, Ghalia goes to the countryside.

As El Aradawy proposes to Ghalia, she agrees and Manwar prepares for the wedding. However, Mohamed Ali tells El Aradawy about Ghalia and Osman in an attempt to smear her, but Mohamed's mother clears Ghalia's name.

As Ghalia marries El Aradawy, she soon comes to resent Manwar's constant interference in their affairs. As Seham tries to figure out a way to resolve her husband's bankruptcy, Manwar asks her to find him a wife.

Ghalia gives birth to a boy. As Manwar decides to move into the city and start an industrial project, he asks Ghalia's aunt to find him a cultured bride to aid his efforts.

As Tawfik goes bankrupt, he has a stroke and gets rushed to the hospital as he is forced to put his house up for sale to pay off his debts. When Manwar visits him and offers him a small amount of money, Tawfik kicks him out. Manwar finds a suitable bride.

Tawfik dies of a broken heart after Manwar buys his house. Manwar reconsiders marrying the woman that Qamar chose for him. El Aradawy grows angry with his father for leaving farming and starting a project in the city.

Despite El Aradawy's disapproval, Manwar insists on selling the land. Manwar visits Seham and tells her to stay in the house as long as she wants, rent-free. Qamar's son, Mohamed Ali, buys the land from Manwar.

As Manwar and Seham agree to wed, Manwar opens a factory after selling his land. El Aradawy asks Seham to mediate to get Manwar to reconsider selling the land, threatening to interdict him if he doesn't.

As El Aradawy tries to steal the documents from Seham's house, he beats her when she sees him. El Aradawy gets arrested on charges of robbery and attempted murder. As he is sent to prison, Qamar tries to convince Ghalia to continue her life with another man. Manwar weds Seham.

Manwar visits Ghalia and gives up the house and the cow farm to her, asking her not to tell Seham about it. As Manwar brings his son Kamal to live with him and Zahra, Kamal grows unhappy with his new accommodations. Rashid's wife quarrels with Ghalia as she grows jealous of her husband's driving of Ghalia.

As Ghalia works on the farm, she grows rich as she develops it. Thinking that Manwar is the one who gave Ghalia money, Seham confronts him and tells him that her mother is the one who killed Osman 10 years ago.

When Qais gets into a car accident, he accuses Kamal of causing it, leading to Kamal's imprisonment. Ghalia tries to help Kamal and meets the guy who was run over by Qais, asking him to come forward. As Mohamed Ali's new project incurs losses, his mother Qamar grows angry with him.

El Aradawy gets released from prison. Manwar gets released from the hospital and puts his office manager in charge of the factory, much to Seham's resentment. Qais gets imprisoned after his girlfriend confesses the truth, getting Kamal acquitted.

El Aradawy visits his father and reconciles with him. Manwar writes the factory over to both El Aradawy and Kamal. As Manwar divorces Seham, he gives her a house but her son Qais sells it to start his own project.
