Ahlam gets her Ph.D. Al-Hady struggles with his lazy son who refuses to find a job. Farouk meets his friend at the cafe and asks him for money so that he could go to Europe.

After years apart, Kawthar runs into Ragaa at a clothes store. Juliet begs her husband not to leave her over her inability to have children, and he promises to stay with her. Al-Hady's rebellious wife dislikes his cooking.

Kawthar visits her brother, whom she thinks seized her share in her father's house. Nader finds a job in a big company, much to his mother's happiness. Ahlam continues to look for work.

As Nader starts his job in Khaled's company, his new subordinate Dersaf falls for him. Juliet adopts a newborn baby. As Ahlam's father grows ill, he struggles with his inability to continue working.

Nader starts going out with Dersaf. Ahlam notices the change in Nader's behavior and tries to call him, but Nader evades her and ignores his father's wish for them to wed. Rustom steals a car to go out with his friends. Kawthar tries to bribe the baby's grandfather to prevent Khaled from adopting him.

As she plans to convince Nader to wed her daughter, Kawthar invites Nader to dinner. Nader's sister, Samiha, learns about Nader's relationship with Dersaf and grows angry on Ahlam's behalf.

Ahlam discovers that Nader is seeing someone else. As her psychological condition worsens, her mother quarrels with Nader's mother. Rustom and his friends form a gang to steal cars and sell them for spare parts, which proves to be a lucrative gig.

Ahlam starts working at a private medical facility. As Samiha tries to reconcile Ahlam and Nader, the latter rebuffs her and continues to see Dersaf. Nader informs Dersaf of his intent to ask for her hand.

A fellow doctor catches feelings for Ahlam who rejects his advances. Rustom and his gang rent an apartment. Despite his father's objection, Nader prepares for his engagement to Dersaf.

Nader and Dersaf get engaged. As Ahlam settles in her job at the hospital, her father grows ill and goes to the hospital, where he is treated by her supervisor. When Hamza discovers that Aida is in a relationship with an elderly man, he keeps the fact from his friend.

As Ahlam's father's health deteriorates, he undergoes surgery. Dersaf tries to win Nader over after he grows to dislike her. Ahlam's father passes away.

As Nader weds Dersaf, she gets in a fight with his mother, prompting Nader to hit her. Dersaf leaves the house and returns to her parents' house. Ahlam grows close to Yassin, much to her supervisor's jealousy. Ahlam's mother visits her former sweetheart, Khaled.

As Nader and Dersaf's relationship goes from bad to worse, Dersaf futilely tries to win Nader over. Ahlam goes out with her supervisor who shares his wish to wed her, but Ahlam asks for some time to think it over.

As Ahlam's mother visits Khaled again, his younger sister pays her a visit, much to her pleasure. Aida moves out of her apartment after she grows concerned about Hamza's frequent visits. Dersaf grows despondent due to Nader's mistreatment.

Juliet learns that Khaled has been in love with someone else for the entirety of their marriage. Khaled is introduced to Ahlam. Ahlam's supervisor asks her mother for Ahlam's hand. As Nader tells his sister that he is going to divorce Dersaf, the latter overhears them and breaks down.

Khaled discovers that Kawthar is involved with one of his clients who is trying to bankrupt his company. Nader informs Kawthar that his relationship with her daughter may have ended, but he will continue working with her against Khaled.

As Ahlam runs into Nader, she's repelled by his personality, prompting her to close that chapter of her life. When she shares the decision with her fiancé, the latter grows angry and leaves her. Khaled tries to identify the person who seized all the tenders from his company.

Ahlam weds Sufian. Kawthar warns Dalila against telling Khaled that Ahlam is his daughter in order to prevent Ahlam from getting his fortune. Rustom and his gang get arrested for robbery. Nader gets investigated by the police.
