After her estranged sister and her husband, Poodle and Christopher, are arrested for tax fraud, the reckless woman Mickey finds herself in over her head as she's forced to look after Poodle's three kids: Sabrina, Chip and Ben.

Mickey enlists the help of Christopher's mother, Evelyn, to take care of the children, after she decides to go back to her home in Rhode Island. But a visit from an unwelcome person makes her change her mind.

Mickey tries to give Sabrina a few tips regarding her love life with her boyfriend Kai, while Jimmy gives bad advice to Chip who has a crush on a girl at school.

The family try to save the situation after they forget Ben's birthday, as they throw him a belated party which involves a weird clown and a pony ride.

When Ben starts doing weird things after having an imaginary friend, Chip tries to help him with his issue. Mickey and Sabrina accidentally cause a fire because of their smoking.

After Mickey starts dating the wealthy heir Teddy Grant, she discovers the master bedroom in the family mansion, which sets a series of clashes with Chip and Sabrina, as each one wants to have the room for himself.

When Mickey goes to the Pembertons' country club to confront a tabloid columnist who wrote a bad article about the family, things take a turn for the worse when the family have to deal with upsetting situations.

Chip finds himself in a dilemma after he gets caught seeing a compromising photo, as he must decide whether to rat out his team captain or take the fall.

Mickey is enraged by the kids' behaviour, as they constantly ignore what she says, so she decides to show them who's the boss and make them pay attention to her.

After Mickey starts seeing Dante, she's worried that he might leave when he finds out about her niece and nephews, while other guys who like Mickey try to break up her relationship with Dante.

When Mickey finds out that Ben is not doing well in school, she decides to pull him from it as an act of defiance, but she resorts to unusual measures in order to enroll him into another school. Sabrina and Chip try to get to know Alba better.

After Chip is swindled by a girl he met online, Mickey tries to teach him how to be a smart guy and not be tricked again. Sabrina is worried that Kai might turn into a slacker like Jimmy when he starts spending time with him.

Mickey gets in over her head after she attempts to help Sabrina who's being harassed by a cyber-bully. Jimmy tries to pull out a tooth with the help of Chip and Ben.

Mickey's gambling habits kicks in when she and Alba go on a gambling binge. Meanwhile, Sabrina, Chip and Jimmy clash over who gets to be in charge while Mickey is away.

After Chip invites a popular classmate for a sleepover, things don't go as expected when an angry father arrives to look for his drunk daughter. As Ben is having nightmares, things get complicated when Jimmy pranks Alba.

When Sabrina decides to get breast implants, Mickey sets out to dissuade her, but her plan quickly goes sideways. When Jimmy takes the boys to a football game, he ends up getting into a fight with the fans of the opposing team.

The kids get an unexpected visit from their fugitive parents, Poodle and Christopher, which sets in motion a series of disastrous events for the entire Pemberton family.
