Jared Eamons, an Arkansas college student, is an avid runner and a writer. He discovers and reveals his homosexuality to his kind and loving parents, Nancy and Marshall. As faithful Christians, Jared accepts his parents’ decision to enroll in a conversion therapy program to change or suppress his sexuality. He suffers from the director’s cruelty and the program’s ineffectiveness at helping him.
