After ending his relationship with his girlfriend, Adam wants to go to the pub with his best friend Pete Gifford, who decides to take Adam to his house, which upsets Pete's wife.

Jenny's due date is approaching and Pete is feeling overly excited. Adam thinks of moving in with Rachel while David decides to invest in golf.

David decides to confess to Adam that he lacks experience in the field of intimacy so his skills are lacking, so Adam decides to advise and help him. Karen rejects the idea of having a child with David.

With Karen back to work, she works on editing Alex Welch's new novel. She later receives an invitation from Alex to attend a book signing event in Liverpool.
