Josh spends his days reflecting upon his dead-end job as a janitor and wishing for something more than this. Unable to make the change, he spends the time playing a videogame, Biotic Wars. As he beats the game, his yearning for adventure crystallizes when visitors from the future visit him.

As Josh travels to the year 1969, he, Tiger, and Wolf are sent into a mission to infiltrate a fraternity group and save Dr. Kronish.

Josh, Tiger, and Wolf have a disagreement when Tiger and Wolf voice their belief that it's time for Dr. Kronish to die, but Josh cannot accept their plan or go through with it.

When Josh fails to dissuade them to change their mind, Tiger and Wolf go on with their attempt to assassinate Dr. Kronish, but an unpleasant surprise awaits them when their Time Travel Device seems to malfunction.

The team tries to unravel the truth about the Biotics at Kronish's lab. Meanwhile, Josh gets closer to Jeri, who helps him out when he is pursued by a policeman.

With Josh's parents hosting a party downstairs, Josh, Wolf, and Tiger have a heated interrogation at Josh's room right before the bomb explodes in the captured Biotic's head.

The team travels to the future to get the fuel they need to carry on with their mission, but their goal is made ten times harder as they find themselves caught inside a smart house with a peculiar security system that they must crack.

With the team relieved that their mission is almost done, the kidnapping of Josh's mother prompts them to rescue her before they part ways.

When Josh claims that he knows how to stop Dr. Kronish, he convinces the team to follow through with a mad plan he devised. But when Wolf goes missing, Josh is left alone to resume the mission.

While still in the past, Josh struggles to find a way to alter Dr. Kronish's future without ruining his own. Meanwhile, Wolf is accused of having an unsteady dedication to the cause they're supposed to serve.

Internal divisions make it harder for the team to stay united, prompting Tiger and Wolf to confront the fact that the mission has changed who they once were as they question whether their efforts are to any fruition.

Josh's fear of having his life altered vanishes when his attempt at reversing Dr. Kronish's existence changes his own future for the better. Meanwhile, Tiger and Wolf reminisce over their failed mission.

After admitting that they only made things worse due to their disagreements and flattering, the team cooperates for one more time to bring Dr. Kronish down, once and for all.
