Nada feels severe pain a month before her due date due to the pressure and exhaustion she is facing because of the siege imposed on the neighborhood where she lives. Her husband can't reach the midwife who lives on the other side of the neighborhood because of the sniper who threatens the lives of whoever crosses the street, so he tries to negotiate with the sniper to let the midwife pass.
