Bouzid Marzouq, a researcher in the history of law, likes the divorced lawyer Malak who has four children. Ramba, a laundry owner, likes Samira, who is also a lawyer, but she loves another guy who was in prison and got out.

Samira is upset because she believes that Lotfi is cheating on her with another girl while she works for Ramba; she goes to the house of El Habib complaining to him, as he and his wife try to console her. El Habib celebrates his wife's, Khadija, birthday.

As Samira tells Mabrouk's wife that her husband is amazing, Lotfi asks her not to talk with people on the street. Marbouk goes to meet residents of the area to coordinate with them to organize the neighborhood, but El Mutamid requests that Malak handle the affairs of the neighborhood committee.

Malak quarrels with Samira, who works with her in the law firm because all she cares about in a client is if he's handsome. When Malak has a stomachache, she finds her children and the sister of her ex-husband suffering from the same pain. Malak's daughter asks her mother to rebuild her life.

As Ramba asks Samira to stay away from the ex-felon Lotfi, he proposes to her, and she agrees to the engagement; Hassan gets angry when he learns the news from Malak. Malak comes to the house with an officer who arrests Ramba for hiding drugs in Lotfi's house.

As Malak suffers from the behavior of her teenage children, her father-in-law tries to calm her down. The mayor goes to Hassan's restaurant to eat every day without paying for the food. When Hassan refuses one time to serve him breakfast, the mayor accuses him of slander and informs the police.

Samira asks Lotfi to marry her and she will live with him anywhere. Khadija tells her husband that there is a groom who wants to marry Malak. Ramba gets out of prison as well as Hassan. Malak's mother takes the kids on a trip during the summer vacation.

As Hassan threatens Mabrouk because he was the reason for his imprisonment, El Habib tries to reconcile them. When Bahjah goes to Malak to file a divorce case against her husband, Malak tells her that the judicial vacation will start.

As Malak is surprised when she sees salt in front of all the houses up to the doorstep of her office, it turns out that Mabrouk's wife is practicing magic and scattering salt on the doors; Bouzid quarrels with her because she insulted him. When Lilia asks the cafe owner to marry her, he refuses.

Mabrouk's wife tells Khadija that ever since Bouzid came to the neighborhood, he jinxed the place. As Hassan decides to travel to France, Lotfi runs the restaurant in his place. When Mabrouk's brother returns from traveling, he is sad about the country's situation.

As Mabrouk takes leave from work, the citizens flock to his house to extract civil documents. When Iskandar takes the computer to the cafe, Bouzid and Mabrouk surround him to watch the pictures of girls. When Malak asks Lotfi about Iskandar, he tells her that he is angry with her.

Samah asks her friend to reconcile her with Iskandar after her return from Holland. Samira helps Lotfi in the restaurant, but the worker there does not like her orders. The cafe is full of customers since Marey introduced the internet there; Iskandar is behind this media revolution in the cafe.

Samah is sad because Iskandar is not speaking to her and considers leaving him. Khadija decides to buy a computer and open a Facebook account. When Mabrouk doesn't return home, his wife seeks the help of El Habib, especially since he and his brother have orders to spy on the young men.

Hassan returns from France and decides to expand and improve the restaurant. As Munji comes to visit Malak to propose to her mother, Zeinab, Malak dislikes him and quarrels with her mother. Mabrouk returns with a basket full of copper utensils to sell.

As El Sahbi works for Ramba, Hassan gets upset because he raised him. Mabrouk is depressed after getting fired from work. Ramba asks the students to turn off the computers and use them at home only. Samah wants to commit suicide because Iskandar left her.

Malak admits to her friend Bahjah that she still loves Munther, even though he divorced her and married another woman in France. Ramba asks Marey not to let the young men use the Internet in the cafe. Samah reconciles with Iskandar. Mabrouk becomes crazy after leaving his post as mayor.

El Munji is worried about Bahjah who is against the regime. Hassan holds a party in the neighborhood to mark the expansion of his shop. As Ramba wants to report Mabrouk to have him admitted to the mental hospital, Marey refuses.

As a municipality employee comes to Hassan to seize the shop because it is in violation, El Habib asks him to sort out his situation. Khadija prepares breakfast on the first day of Ramadan. Three men break into Hassan's shop and take a basket; Samah thinks it is full of drugs.

It turns out that Munawar took Malak's documents from Hassan's store, as Halima is the one who told him about its location. As Munawar accuses Malak of plotting against the country in agreement with international associations, she gets afraid that she would get arrested.

Malak is taken to prison. Bahjah quarrels with Hanifa because she mocks Khadija and taunts her that Malak is in prison. El Habib congratulates his friends on the occasion of Eid. A man appears claiming to be the new mayor and that he is not pleased with what is happening in the neighborhood.

As Munawar admires Dersaf, Ramba is upset because Munawar no longer needs his services, as he uses Dersaf to give him all the information about the neighborhood. As Malak is released from prison, she tells her ex-husband that his son wants to drop out of school and focus on music.

Khadija does not want to forget that Malak is no longer her son’s wife, because she loves her a lot. As Bouzid sells incense, El Habib blames him for standing under his window; the mayor asks him to leave the place. Lilia wishes to marry Marey, even though she is older than him; Hanifa mocks her.

Marey recounts a bad dream to Hassan. As Bouzid becomes a fortune teller, the people go to him to buy incense and magic items. Marey goes with Hassan to Lilia to propose to her against his will. Samah suspects that Dersaf is spying for the regime and alerts her friends.

Lilia marries Marey. As Samah asks her mother to marry Iskandar quickly, her grandfather tries to calm her down. Munawar discovers that Iskandar and Murtada are responsible for infiltrating international security sites. Malak is worried that her daughter Samah could be involved and she gets arrested.

Malak is sad because her ex-husband doesn't care about his daughter's marriage. Khadija is glad when Munther calls Malak, as she hopes that he would return to her. Hanifa tells Munawar some information that she knew about Hassan.

Malak agrees that her daughter marries Iskandar because Munawar wants to put them in prison; Bahjah will hide them. When Marey goes out with Lilia for the first time after their marriage, Lilia quarrels with Dersaf. As Zeinab returns from Djerba, she is surprised by Samah’s marriage.

As Bouazizi sets himself on fire, all satellite channels cover the demonstrations and the beginning of the spark of the revolution. Munawar tries to attract Malak to the regime's side, but she refuses. Hanifa goes with Lilia to the cafe, but Ramba refuses to let Lilia stay because she's Marey's wife.

As the demonstrations spread all over the country, one of the demonstrators is killed by live bullets. The people of the neighborhood are afraid and the shops are closed. Samah goes with Iskandar to participate in the demonstrations. As Omar returns, he meets Ramba and Hanifa at Munawar cafe.

As Marey closes the cafe because the youth use the Internet to organize the revolution, he reopens it at the urging of the citizens. Dersaf dies and Bouzid mourns for her. The citizens in the neighborhood declare their disobedience and revolt against the regime.

As Hanifa wipes anti-regime writings from the walls, no one is afraid of her as the fall of the Ben Ali regime approaches. Dersaf is still alive but was in a coma; she returns to the neighborhood. Residents of the region stage demonstrations against the regime, as all states of the republic unite.
