Al Taher, a café owner, admires Aida, the seamstress who wants to marry any man. Uncle Salah, who is married to a much younger woman, has three daughters, the youngest of whom succeeds, and the neighbors congratulate him, thinking she will get married since his daughters are unmarried.

Kulthum, Miloud's wife, loves to know everything about the neighbors, and her husband and mother-in-law make fun of her. Miloud's brother-in-law goes to Saleh's house to propose to his daughter, telling them he is rich, but he runs away when Saleh discovers his lie. Aida goes to the fortuneteller to find a suitor.

Mahmasha works in Al Taher's cafe and loves Saleh's little daughter. Al Taher gets sad when a girl, with whom he flirted, mocks him. Saleh's older daughters prepare to meet the man who is visiting their father to buy books, thinking he is a suitor, but Saleh kicks him out when he finds out who he is.

Siham admires Miloud's relative, Daw, and takes the basket of vegetables from him, but her father asks her to return it to him, so she goes to Kulthum's house and returns the basket, while Daw grows fond of her and tells his aunt and Kulthum, who laugh at him a lot.

Daw goes to Saleh's house to ask for his daughter Siham's hand in marriage, whereupon she feels very happy, adorns herself, and offers him juice. However, her stepmother sets difficult conditions for his acceptance, and since Daw is not a rich man, he returns to his area.

Al Taher cleans the cafe, and Miloud and Salah decorate the market square because they received news that the district chief will visit the market. As Muftah comes to help them, he brings misfortune to the people of the market as the chief does not arrive and the coffee machine breaks.

Al Taher is surprised by Mahmasha sleeping in the café, thinks he is a genie, and is afraid of him. Mahmasha hits Zarbut and ties him, but Saleh unties him. As for Kulthum, she goes to her husband in the shop after she has adorned herself and tells him that she is going to her relatives.

The head of the Heritage Preservation Committee visits the market square and is welcomed with music by the residents. As he sits in the café with Al Taher, Saleh, Aida, and Kulthum, a cooking competition is held and he announces that the winner is Miloud's mother-in-law. Miloud wins first place for the cleanest shop.

Salah looks for a bag and asks his daughters about it, especially Khawla because it belongs to Muftah, whom he also asks about it, but he tells him he does not know. A strange man comes to the café and Salah takes him to his house to marry one of his daughters, but he discovers that he is bad at everything.

Muftah's mother looks for him at Miloud's house while he sells garlic in the market, then he goes to Saleh's house to propose to Khawla, and the girls start laughing at him because he is only a primary school graduate. When his mother learns, she goes to Saleh's house and screams and yells.

Mahmasha wants to marry Kenza, but his father refuses because he does not have the expenses for the marriage. Burai visits Miloud's house to see his aunt and meets Saleh there, so he goes with him to his house with Mahmasha, whereupon Siham likes him and wants to marry him.

Mahmasha sees a genie, gets scared, and runs away to his mother. He also sees Muftah following Kenza and tells Salah about it. Al Taher is angry about the presence of Muftah in the café and asks Zarbut to throw him out because he looks repulsive.

A stranger comes to Huda while she is with Siham, and they like him, so Al Taher becomes jealous of him and quarrels with him until Saleh arrives and takes him to his house in the hope that he will propose to Siham. Muftah promises Khawla that he will establish a project so that Saleh could accept him.

Salah meets Sharaf El Din in the café, and Siham sees him and goes to him, trying to get his attention, but Aida gets angry with her. He then goes with Salah again to the house. Muftah eats everything in the house and Kulthum quarrels with him.

Sharaf El Din gets engaged to Siham, and Aida gets very angry and jealous because she took the suitor from her. As for Muftah, he starts his project, selling kernels in front of the café, which does not please Al Taher.

An Italian young man comes to the café, and no one knows how to communicate with him except Zarbut, who says that he understands Italian. He tells Miloud and Salah that he is Al Taher's partner, and Aida admires him. When Al Taher comes, he is surprised that it is his Italian son, Paolo.

Salah decides to sell the house, and Muftah asks him to marry Siham after Miloud told him that he will have his daughter married as soon as he sells the house. Aida has a crush on Paolo, but she can't find a way to talk to him.

A young man comes to Saleh's house to buy the house on sale from him, so Aida gets angry because she thinks that he came to propose to one of Saleh's daughters. She tries to get close to him, but the young man does not like her. Saleh also asks Mahmasha not to speak to Kenza again.

Salah discovers that the young man gave him a bounced check in return for buying the house, so he ties him and calls the police. Muftah quarrels with Miloud because he wants to take a share of his profit in selling the kernels. Paolo gives Aida a bouquet of flowers, but she finds him stingy like his father.

As Mahmasha decides to immigrate from Tunisia illegally in a boat, he gives the café work clothes to Zarbut and bids farewell to Kenza who is trying to stop him. The young man is still tied to the chair and everyone is making fun of him.

A young man proposes to Siham and Muftah learns, so he goes to Saleh's house and beats the young man, upon which Siham gets angry with him because she likes the young man. Mahmasha abandons immigration and returns to work in the café.

Aida tells Saleh's wife that Turkey is a wonderful country and the clothes there are wonderful, so Rond asks Saleh to take her to Turkey, and he agrees, but as soon as he arrives at the airport, he returns home because he could not leave his daughters alone.

Rond tells her husband that she will lie to Aida and tell her that the clothes are from Turkey, sticking Turkish tags on them, while they are from the Souk Sidi Boumendil. As Siham overhears what Rond is up to, she tells Aida, who demands the money she gave Rond.
