As businessman Lemeen Hadad is accused of forging legal documents, an anonymous woman shows evidence that acquits him. After his release, he gets killed and the search for the killer begins. Captain Yousef Ismail and his colleagues conduct investigations.

The police steaks out Amal to figure more out about her and Lemeen, as they find out she traveled with him the past year. She notices the surveillance, and maneuvers her way around it, except when it’s Yousef’s shift, whom she invites to her house, and he finds that she has a baby.

Yousef finds his father’s illness has worsened. At the hospital, the doctor tells him that he’s at his final hours. His relationship with his wife and daughter falls apart for focusing on work.

Many show up at the funeral of Yousef's father. Yousef and Amal get closer when he visits her and he finds photos of her and Lemeen's wife; she confesses that Lemeen took them, and that she kept them as insurance after his death.

Amal tells Yousef everything; Lemeen raped her mom, Hend, when Amal was little, and she got with him to avenge her mom and rob him off, but she didn't follow this plan after having a child with him. Malik and Laila are the main suspects now, when the police finds they’re together.

Amal disappears, and leaves Yousef the document that acquitted Lemeen. Yousef is taken off the case as the police finds out about his relationship with Amal, and he’s accused of covering up for her.

The judge releases Yousef and orders his return to his job as captain and investigator in the case. Malik's daughter is raped, but she doesn't tell anyone. The police asks Hind to monitor Malik and his mistress.

Hind takes advantage of Zahra's absence from the house to plant the microphones, as she agreed with the police. Amal and Zahra plan to forge a passport for Amal to flee the country. Yousef has an affair with Amina. The killer calls Malik and they meet.

The killer threatens Malik to kill his wife or Laila if he doesn’t pay him up. Yousef threatens Sami and tells him to stay away from Amina. Laila helps Amal escape the police, and gives her a forged passport to travel to Switzerland, and her son would later follow.

Laila turns to Hend to help her with the baby. Amina tells Sami that she’s with Yousef now. Malik receives a message from the killer, who reminds him to either pay him or lose his wife or mistress.

Yousef fails to find information about Lemeen's bank accounts. He also tells Amal he has feelings for her, but she thinks it’s a plot to frame her. Yousef persuades her to build a new life with him.

As Malik flees with his family to a house in the mountains, he tells his wife that they're in danger. Amina finds she’s pregnant while Sami’s baby. Laila doesn’t return Amal’s son to her.

As Yousef is caught by the Swiss police for being at the crime scene where Amal died, he tries to explain that he's a police detective investigating a murder. The killer threatens to harm Malik when Kawthar finds him in his office and tries to call the police.

Laila cuts a deal with the killer to double the money for him if he disclosed his agreement with Malik. Laila devises a new plan as she goes to the police to inform them that she was kidnapped after discovering that she is being watched. Yousef gets beaten up in his cell, and is taken to the hospital.

Malik and Laila have a fight when she finds he had killed her husband. Yousef escapes and goes to the bank employee he met before to take refuge. Malik’s wife and daughter leave the house. Laila plots with Vlenza to kill Hind.

As Amina visits Ismail’s grave, she finds Yousef who assures her that he won’t leave her alone. He tries to prove that Laila and Vlenza killed Lemeen. As Vlenza is interrogated, he refuses to say anything without his lawyer.

Laila tries to flee with the baby, but Yousef stops her. After Vlenza confesses Laila and Malik's involvement with him in the murder, he kills himself. Laila is sentenced to death, while Malik is sentenced to five years. As Yousef and Amina get married, it's revealed that Amal has staged her death.
