In 2003, Jimmy and Kim learn of Chuck's death, while a sad Jimmy feels that he is to blame. Mike provides genuine security and safety consulting for Madrigal Electromotive. Howard reveals that Chuck's malpractice insurance costs had skyrocketed because of Jimmy.

After his law license gets suspended, Jimmy goes to an interview for a job and recognizes a chance to steal a Hummel figurine. Gus discovers Nacho is responsible for Hector's stroke. Rebecca and Kim go see Howard to discuss the disposition of Chuck's property.

Nacho gets wounded in Victor and Tyrus's attack on Arturo to kill him. When Mike refuses to steal the Hummel, Jimmy seeks Ira's help to do it for him. Kim rejoins Mesa Verde, although she is apprehensive about its anticipated quick development.

As Jimmy grows tired of running a mobile phone store, he plans with Ira to carry out more robberies. Mike confronts Henry for lying about having a wife who passed away. Nacho informs the Salamancas that the attack was carried out by the Espinosas.

In 2003, Jimmy talks a client into purchasing numerous prepaid cell phones, after which he realizes he can make money by reselling prepaid phones on the street. Mike evaluates a prospective partnership. Kim starts providing pro bono legal help for many defendants.

While Kim joins Schweikart & Cokely and handles both Mesa Verde and criminal cases, Jimmy is disappointed to discover that there's no way he can re-open the Wexler-McGill office. Mike sets up covert housing and entertainment facilities for Werner's team, who begins working on Gus's meth "superlab."

Huell gets arrested for attacking a cop who tries to convince Jimmy to close his business, while Jimmy enlists Kim's help in defending him. Gus dismisses Dr. Bruckner as Hector begins to recover. As Werner's crew is frustrated by how the work is taking longer than expected, Mike intervenes.

Jimmy strives to redeem a mistake. Kim does whatever it takes to win a case. Lalo pays a visit to Nacho to help him manage his business. Werner's crew goes on an outing at a strip joint, which Mike arranges.

Jimmy's quest to reclaim his legal license jeopardizes his relationship with Kim. Gus fights the Salamanca family's bid to control the drug trade. Mike is concerned about some trouble concerning Werner.

Jimmy cleans up his act. Lalo investigates a snafu in Gus's organization. Mike has a tough choice to make.
