As detective Murphy gets a call about an unusual crime scene in which a woman’s body is scorched despite any evidence of fire, she investigates the murder mystery with the daughter of the deceased, Nori. As the secret layers of Nori’s Japanese ancestry are revealed and Nori’s connection to a strange psychic power arises, the two women help each other to emotionally heal and unlock this homicide.
