As the family man Scott Perry learns of his terminal cancer diagnosis, he decides to secure the future of his five children by enlisting the help of three of his friends to act as father figures for his kids after he passes away.

As Luly meets her biological mother, she finds out about how Scott raised her on his own while she was little. Robin is having doubts about the 'council of dads', as she worries that it might not work considering how each member is dealing with their own issues.

As a storm approaches their neighborhood, the Perry family takes shelter. After her blog gets published, Luly grapples to deal with the consequences, as she lends Larry a hand to mend his relationship with his daughter and granddaughter.
