The Egyptian Wedding

Both the wife of Wadee El Atrash and the wife of Ghareed El Andaleeb give birth to their first child. From then on their rivalry starts, as each of the men forms a musical band; one calls his “Bu Tar” and the other “The Original Bu Tar”, and hires Elias as his agent.

Detective Bashar

Both Ghareed and Wadee are getting ready with their respective bands to travel to Egypt where they’ll perform in a concert, but as they board the plane, the flight attendant discovers that Umm Kulthum doesn’t have a passport.

The Hijacked Plane

A group of gunmen hijacks the plane carrying the two bands (Bu Tar and the Original Bu Tar), so Umm Kulthum takes advantage of the situation to gain fame and posts the news on social media.

The Prison Camp

The two bands are thrown in jail, and the arresting officer tells Ghareed that his wife misdescribed the band, by writing in the official papers ‘suicide band’ instead of ‘singing band’.

El Rayyes Metqal

As the two bands get out of jail, they decide not to go through with their trip to Egypt. They talk to El Rayyes Metqal, the man who hired them, via Skype, and agree with him to have the wedding held at theirs, record a video and send it to him to show at the time of the ceremony.

The Prom

Elias gets the bands a gig to perform at a prom, which Wadee and Ghareed manage to spoil with their respective bands, so the college director refuses to pay them. Later, they receive a phone call that tells them that Elias’s been kidnapped.

When Elias’s abductors demand a huge ransom, Ghareed and Wadee work out a plan to rescue him, according to which they raid the place with the bands’ members and set him free.

As Abdel Qader’s son thinks of using Ghareed’s scandals to start a trend on YouTube, he asks him to present a show, so he thinks about presenting a cooking show, whereas everyone in the Bu Tar and Original Bu Tar bands, seeking fame, starts presenting a different show.

When both Ghareed and Wadee nominate themselves to head the Syndicate of Singers, a rivalry develops between the two, as they start drawing up plans for both the syndicate and their election programme, only to have Elias report them to the police.

The Reception

When Shadia tells her husband about a reception being held for one of her friends for giving birth to her first child, he thinks about having the two bands perform at birth receptions and baby showers.

Dokhi tells Wadee that Ghareed has founded the Bu Tar Institute of Folk Arts. As Ghareed begins to determine the positions of his band members at the institute, Wadee gets upset and decides to join the institute so that he knows what Ghareed is up to.
