Assi sees his father getting killed by the Pasha's men, so he flees after trying to defend him. As years pass, he returns and finds that the Pasha has seized his land and money, so he decides to avenge his father's death.

As Assi asks Moataz to help him prove his right to the land, he discovers that Nawras is the son of the great Pasha and that he follows the same approach as his father in seizing people's lands.

Moataz invites Assi to a party at Nawras' palace and asks the latter to mediate with Assi to resolve his family's land problem, after which Nawras stabs Moataz with a dagger, and Assi gets accused of killing him.

Nour takes advantage of the people's needs and pressures them into selling their lands, while Assi and Saleh agree on an arms deal to defend the villagers.

Assi trains the village's young people to use weapons, while Karam gets arrested for being a dissident writer, so Najat tries to release him.

As Nawras asks the army to besiege the village, Assi tries to find a way to treat Afra after getting under siege. Meanwhile, Shamas searches for Assi.

Assi asks the gypsy tribes to cooperate in executing his plan in return for money. Khalil quarrels with Assi for not distributing the money to the tribe. As the gendarmerie commander investigates the killing of Moataz, he catches Saleh and beats him. Nawras forces Raghad into sleeping with him.

Saleh's father asks Nawras to release his son from prison. Afra undergoes surgery because of her cancer. As Laith incites the gendarmerie commander against the prisoners, he decides to execute them.

Laith tells Mahmoud that the prisoners have broken out, and Najat learns that her father is among the escapees. Afra recovers and gets released from the hospital. Nawras agrees to meet Assi.

Assi agrees with Nawras that they open a route for the transfer of wheat between them. Idris agrees to receive Nawras' reward for whoever kills Assi. Najat protests with a group of women in front of the prison so that the rest of the prisoners would be released.

Idris announces a reward for whoever kills Assi, and the latter tries to kill Hassison on the night of his wedding. Najat is still searching for her father, while Shamas decides to return to Nawras to take revenge on Assi.

An intense fire breaks out in the village. As Raghad asks Nawras to protect her father, he asks her to find the whereabouts of Assi's sister. Mahmoud investigates the murder of the gendarmerie commander.

Assi buries his sister. Mahmoud releases Saleh from prison. Nawras tells the people of the village that the bank has seized their lands. Najat takes care of the children of Afra after her death, and Assi confesses his love for her.

Khalil and Najat go to the Imperial Ottoman Bank so that they can rob it and draw a map of the place, after which Assi and his group commit the heist. Laith asks Younes to spy on Ezzat.

Idris visits the gypsy clans and kills their leader. Assi distributes the stolen money to the people and gives the deeds to the bank manager, Ruth, who gives Nawras time to catch Assi and his men. The police besiege the village.

The villagers rebel against Nawras. As Hassison goes to visit his family, the soldiers catch him and try to find out about Assi's whereabouts from him.

Mahmoud Agha interrogates Najat about her relationship with Assi and promises to protect the latter if he turns himself in. Assi threatens Ruth that he will reveal his relationship with Nawras to the Sultan in case he refuses to lift the siege on the village.

Assi turns himself in to the police. As Hijab confesses to trying to kill the gendarmerie commander, Ruth sends someone to receive the rest of his papers from Assi, who gets released. The siege on the village gets lifted, and Najat makes sure that her father has passed away.

As a bid is held to sell the village, the soldiers arrest Assi, who tries to bribe them to release him. Assi buys the village and returns the rights due to the people. Raghad's brother quarrels with her and threatens to expose her relationship with Nawras Pasha.

Assi returns the stolen gold to its owners and buys some land. Everyone looks for Saleh. Shamas deceives Najat and claims that Assi loves her.

Mahmoud asks for Nawras' sister's hand in marriage, but Nawras refuses. Assi marries Najat and agrees with Ruth that they cooperate in selling grain.

Laila confesses her love to Mahmoud, and they agree to marry, but her sister informs him that Laila will travel to Istanbul to have them break up. Abu Saleh's funeral is held. Najat convinces Assi to start a company to transport grain to neighboring countries.

Nawras beats Shamas and locks her in the cellar. Khalil warns Najat of Assi because of his greed and cruelty. As Idris' daughter runs away with her father's money, Assi decides to settle the score with Idris.

As Nawras is forced to sell his horses to pay off his debts, he is shocked that Assi is the buyer. Ruth asks Assi to assassinate someone. Najat discovers that she is pregnant, and Laith tells her that her father has not passed away.

As Mahmoud detains Khalil to have him confess that Assi committed the bank robbery, Assi asks Hijab to kill Khalil before he appears in court. Laith threatens to accuse Rose of bribery, while Shamas kills Al Harith and runs away.

Nawras opens the transportation company, and Ruth agrees to kill the Emperor in exchange for his protection. Elsewhere, Laith gives Najat a letter from her father. Assi quarrels with Laith and throws him out of the house, and Mahmoud asks Assi to secure the Emperor's convoy.

Assi discovers that the children have been kidnapped, so Najat tells him that Laith has tried to deceive her, and Assi is forced to agree to the plan to assassinate the Emperor.

Tawfiq reveals to Assi that the traitor is Saleh, who confesses everything he has done. Najat tells Assi about her pregnancy, and the latter prepares to assassinate the Emperor.

As Assi travels, Abdul Rahman discovers the whereabouts of the two kidnapped children and sends a message to Assi to stop the assassination. Laith bargains with Najat over another letter from her father.

Mahmoud threatens Ruth that he will expose his plan to assassinate the Emperor and allows Assi to escape. Najat discovers that her father has indeed died. The governor's guard saves Assi from certain death.
