Born in Paris from a Lebanese mother and an Algerian father. Her father owned a hotel. At a young age she was introduced to the French radio by Ahmed El Teegani. At the age of 17 she traveled to Lebanon to sing in Beirut and there she met “Helmy Rafla” who gave her the role in the movie “ALmaz and Abdo El Hamooli” she sang her song in that film “Will Tell You Something” in 1960. She returned home after the independence and got married and left the spot lights , then after her divorce, she returned to Egypt where she married “Balagh Hamdy” and he composed her most famous song “Lets not part” she returned to the cinema working with “Helmy Rafla” and “Hassan Al Imam". |
