Moataz is an Egyptian media figure, born in 1966. He is the son of actress Karima Mokhtar and director Nour El Demerdash. Moataz travelled to the United States, where he spent a while studying, however he later got the opportunity to work in British television and he moved to London before returning to Egypt. Upon his return to Egypt, Moataz became well known for presenting the news in English and French. He also spent a while working for the MBC network, and hosted the talk show 90 Minutes, which was broadcast on Mehwar TV. Prior to that position, Moataz worked as a presenter on the weekly analysis and news program News and Opinions. The program was aired on the Egyptian television on Channel 2 on Friday afternoons. He participated in some productions, such as No Retreat, No Surrender (Bloody Fist), and Al-Kabir Awy S4.
