An American actor, born in Queens, New York, on December 19, 1941. Tommy Rettig began his career at the age of five. By the time he was nine, he was already working in cinema, theater, on radio, and television.He played a notable role in the theater with Mary Martin in the show Annie Get Your Gun for two years, followed by several others, which qualified him for more successful roles on stage, but his mother preferred his work in cinema, and he was 12 years old, he was chosen from among 500 children to play the role of Jeff Miller in the TV series Lassie 1954, which he continued to play for four years, interspersed with several films, most notably the film River of No Return (1954). His other notable work includes The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. (1953), The Strip (1951), So Big (1953), and Studio One in Hollywood (1949-1958). He died of a heart attack on February 15, 1996 in Marina, California.
