An American actress, born on July 4, 1986, and raised in Crofton, Maryland, by her Afghan father and Irish/Scottish mother. She attended Loyola University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a major in Finance and a minor in Spanish. She continued doing the whole Corporate America thing (banking, consulting, and hiring until she finally headed to Los Angeles). She found a balance between pursuing comedy and dramatic opportunities, including participating in the Middle Eastern Comedy Festival, studying at The Groundlings and Second City, and working on drama films. Her credits include Madam Secretary (2014), Speechless (2016), and Family Guy (1999).
