An American actor born in New York City, USA on March 4, 1927 as Robert Francis Hoy and died in Northridge, California, USA on February 8, 2010 of cancer. He married two wives and had a child. His most important works are The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), Bite the Bullet (1975), The High Chaparral (1967-1971), and The Enforcer (1976). He was an American actor, director, and acrobatic entrepreneur. His career spanned 55 years as the first acrobat in American cinema, and he worked as a doppelganger for many stars. He specialized in riding horses, cars, and falling from heights. He served in the US Marines during World War II, and after the war, he participated in his first movie, Ambush (1950). He participated in many TV series, most notably Bonanza (1960-1971), where he presented 12 episodes, and his last film was Detective (2005). His last appearance was in the series NCIS (2007). He died in 2010 of cancer at the age of 82.
