She made her debut with Vice Versa (1948), and her last work was The Hidden Truth (1964). Her most important works include: Pandora and the Flying Dutchman (1951), The Caretaker's Daughter (1952), and The Beggar's Opera (1953). She died in Kent, England, on July 19, 1993.
