An Australian-Kurdish director, producer, writer, and actor, who developed a passion for filmmaking during his adolescence while watching Kurdish films and learning about the political struggles facing Kurdish filmmakers in the industry. Although he is a practicing psychologist, he has maintained a presence in the film industry since 2012 when he co-directed and produced his first independent film Heli Sur (Redline) with his friend, cinematographer Tariq Hewleri. He has tried to incorporate psychology into filmmaking by producing films that discuss difficult or neglected topics in society and raise awareness of mental health. He participated in Australia in the movie Here Out West (2022).
