Director Ameer Ramsis, who is famous for doing films more than dramas, had sent a press release to announcing his apology on doing the new series "Al Morafaa – The Trial".He said in the release: My name has been connected to the drama and that I attended the press conference held by the producers along with script writer Tamer Abd El Monem and Syrian Acter Bassem Yakhour. I assure everyone that I have admired the script written by Tamer and found it to be unique and new to the Egyptian drama and I have rarely read or saw something similar to it. My apology from doing the drama does not deny the genius work done by Tamer or the talent that Bassem Yakhour has. The reason for withdrawing from the work is the delay from the production company in prepping for the work and choosing the technicians and the settings. I believe that this preparation represents 50% of the succeeding elements related to any work. This skill I have inherited from my teacher Youssef Shahin when I worked as his assistant director and carried it with me later with my work as a director. I have sensed that the production company is inconsiderate of the time factor as the wish to release the series in Ramadan 2012, and they have failed till now to choose the full cast. This drama has many big names in it that I was proud to work with like Lobna Abd El Aziz who is a cinema living legend, therefore, If we rush into finishing this work before Ramadan the result will not do them good or the script. Therefore, and out of respect to the cast and their confidence and trust in me, and in respect of this career that is sacred to me, I have decided to apologize from directing and I wish the drama all the success, even though I do not sense any premises of that!"
