She is a Lebanese artist whose real name is Amalia George Awad. She was known especially in the seventies and eighties of the last century for her many and varied television roles, especially in the series That's the World. She started her artistic career early when she was under twenty. In the fifties she was called the "Monologist of Lebanon". Amal is best known for her roles in the series Abu El Tayeb (1983) and Notes of Bitter Time (1997). She passed away at the age of 83 after a long struggle with illness
